We recently rediscovered El pobre restaurant for the first time since they closed during the pandemic.We have ate at Papa's & and Beer and Los Amigos numerous times since then.Everything was awesome!.. the quesadilla Rica, beef and bean burrito, enchilada, beef taco. ..The grilled chicken is cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband and I just happened upon this place and ordered a few tacos to go. They were absolutely amazing and I can say without exaggeration that it was the best taco I ever ate. Needless to say, we went back for more the same night. I have recommended to every person I know that’s going to Waynesville for any reason. The folks are very nice and the food is amazing! Highly recommend!

The food was surprisingly good. The chips were the best in the area and salsa and queso had a little spice to then which was nice. They are only serving food in to go containers/paper plates due to staffing shortage, so the fajitas don’t come out sizzling like you’re likely used to.
