Boondocks Brewing - Taproom & Restaurant

Boondocks is our go to when company visits. The wait staff is 10 out of 10 when it comes to service. Well behaved dogs are always welcome in the outdoor (but covered) seating area. My go to is the small fish and chips. Be sure and try the onion petals as a side. The lime cervas is the perfect pairing. Hard to go wrong with good food and cold beers. ENJOY!

Tonight is my son’s birthday, and he chose this place because it WAS his favorite. Now we are never going back. They treated us like the plague because we had kids with us. We waited almost an hour watching them seat people in spots that could have accommodated us. We left when they sat a group of 3 at the last table that could have held 6 or more.

Food was very bland, I got the sweet Caroline burger and pub chips. Chips had no seasoning whatsoever and the meat on the burger also was very bland. Wait time was about 10+ minutes for the server to even get our drinks and another 10 to order our food. It took about 20 or so to get the food. Definitely not worth the price.

Recently visited West Jefferson and found this gem in the quaint downtown area. We were fortunate to sit at the bar and meet the wonderful and fantastic Murliegh “Mur”. She and the staff were
welcoming and so friendly. She is the star of this place. So much so we returned many times just to visit with her. Fun place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good menu - something for everyone. When we are back next year, this will be our first stop!

Had dinner here Monday, June 23. We sat on the patio. Great atmosphere. The server was delightful. Food was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Kept my wife and I and several couples waiting at the door. Empty tables but they said kitchen was backed up. They could have stayed us and let us order drinks

AWESOME!!! Kelsey was just a blessing!!! Good, hot and amazing food! Staff just lovely and kind! We will come back in the fall when we come get our Christmas trees! Thank you soooo much!!!

We ate at Boondocks last Saturday while in town for a Father’s Day trip. We had a party of four and were seated immediately. We sat on the patio and our kiddos loved the outdoor space. I’m so thankful that we had the room for them to run because we ended up waiting over an HOUR+ for our food.

Our waitress was very kind, and kept us updated with when our food would arrive.

Our food was mediocre at best. I got the chicken tacos, and only one had the aioli sauce, the chips were stale. My son’s hot dog was cold and arrived 10 minutes after the rest of the food; and my other son’s mac and cheese was also cold.

The atmosphere of their outside space is awesome, especially if you have kids or a pet - and the lilies are absolutely beautiful - but we likely wouldn’t come back due to the waiting and subpar food.

Ate here 2 nights. 1st night, fish and chips are good, hamburger good, meatloaf unremarkable, taco salad bad, kitchen forgot to make one of our dishes but they were kind enough to remove from our bill!? 2nd night, blooming onion was good but greasy. Taco salad with shredded chicken was awful. An hour later food poisoning!!! Whether from salad, chicken or several mayonnaise based sauces is unknown. Wonder what their food health rating is? Will not be back, much better places available around town.

Busy Saturday, food took a while but was absolutely delicious!

Great food. Top class service and a great atmosphere. Covered Outside seating as well and pet friendly!

Great place to eat. Always good service and everything we have ordered is great. Highly recommend this place.
