Good food, great staff, visit if you're in the area!

Went to the diner and tried their French toast breakfast sandwich and it is incredible!

Loved our stay here! Our room was very clean and we enjoyed eating breakfast at the Diner on site! Highly recommend!

Our family has been visiting the mountains for years to stargaze, and we chose this location for its proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the added bonus of an on-site restaurant. The food was excellent although we missed the appetizers (served only until 4 PM), we did enjoy a delicious breakfast the next morning.

The property has great potential for stargazing, but unfortunately, there are too many lights on-site. The firepits are a fantastic touch, and if the pole lights were turned off from midnight to 5 AM, guests could truly take in the stars from the comfort of the Adirondack chairs around the firepit.

That said, the location makes it easy to hop onto the Parkway. If you’re up for a late-night drive, the views of the universe are breathtaking dark skies and open overlooks offer stunning visibility.

Our room was updated, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a mountain getaway, especially with a few small tweaks for night sky lovers.

My family ate here for Sunday brunch on Memorial Day weekend. We sat outside and the weather was excellent. We also brought our 6-year old black Labrador Retriever, who enjoyed watching others eat in their open-air patio section. The food was made fresh and had amazing flavor. We highly recommend trying the shrimp and grits and eggs benedict & biscuits and gravy combo. Also, their blackberry mimosa and other summer cocktails were very refreshing. We will continue to come here for brunch and hope to also experience their live music and day drinking events. If you are traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway or a Wilkes/Ashe local, this place is a must do! Great food and service here!!!🥰

Beautiful location. Came here for a wedding at nearby Wanderlust Acres. Convenient to the wedding and even had a diner and general store at the hotel

My wife and I are taking a trip to the Hamvention. For part of the journey, we wanted to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and spend the night somewhere along the way. After some searching, I found Park Vista Motor Lodge and booked it. As soon as we arrived, we were really impressed with the room and the lodge’s location. It was well maintained, clean, had everything we needed (excellent bed!), a good breakfast at the diner, friendly staff, and the country store run by a sweet lady was a great extra. It’s a shame most of the Parkway was still closed, but we still had a great time and we’ll definitely be back.

Our family had breakfast on 4/11/25 and it was wonderful. Prices are reasonable and good options for breakfast. The staff is responsive and courteous.

Best experience today after taking my family to pick Christmas Trees. We had a a great lunch! All of our food was amazing and the hospitality was great! We sat outside and enjoyed the views and beautiful weather. We definitely will be back!

Brisket platter with onion rings, brussel sprouts for me and pulled pork, potato salad and green beans all of which were very tasty. Service was good and it was just a pleasant experience. Definitely recommend Kristin’s cooking.

We stopped in for the diner. The food is top notch and great value for the price. All messed up wings are some of the best you will ever find. I had the ribeye sandwich and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this for a meal!

Highly recommend a stay here! The drive is beautiful. Park Vista has friendly staff and is accommodating. The room is clean and comfortable. The renovation was very well done and compliments the beautiful scenery in the area. We were attending a wedding at Sky Retreat and Park Vista was a short drive from there. It worked perfectly for us. They had all the amenities you would like in a motel room including coffee that is grown locally and was very good. We didn't get to enjoy the diner but everything else is 5 stars.

Nice ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway to get to the restaurant. Service was excellent with friendly staff. Food was amazing. Going to have to try thr Brisket plate next time.
