Park Vista Motor Lodge & Diner

My family ate here for Sunday brunch on Memorial Day weekend. We sat outside and the weather was excellent. We also brought our 6-year old black Labrador Retriever, who enjoyed watching others eat in their open-air patio section. The food was made fresh and had amazing flavor. We highly recommend trying the shrimp and grits and eggs benedict & biscuits and gravy combo. Also, their blackberry mimosa and other summer cocktails were very refreshing. We will continue to come here for brunch and hope to also experience their live music and day drinking events. If you are traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway or a Wilkes/Ashe local, this place is a must do! Great food and service here!!!🥰

Our family had breakfast on 4/11/25 and it was wonderful. Prices are reasonable and good options for breakfast. The staff is responsive and courteous.

Best experience today after taking my family to pick Christmas Trees. We had a a great lunch! All of our food was amazing and the hospitality was great! We sat outside and enjoyed the views and beautiful weather. We definitely will be back!

Brisket platter with onion rings, brussel sprouts for me and pulled pork, potato salad and green beans all of which were very tasty. Service was good and it was just a pleasant experience. Definitely recommend Kristin’s cooking.

We stopped in for the diner. The food is top notch and great value for the price. All messed up wings are some of the best you will ever find. I had the ribeye sandwich and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this for a meal!

Highly recommend a stay here! The drive is beautiful. Park Vista has friendly staff and is accommodating. The room is clean and comfortable. The renovation was very well done and compliments the beautiful scenery in the area. We were attending a wedding at Sky Retreat and Park Vista was a short drive from there. It worked perfectly for us. They had all the amenities you would like in a motel room including coffee that is grown locally and was very good. We didn't get to enjoy the diner but everything else is 5 stars.

Went for lunch to have these Labor Day ribs, started out disappointed. Truly, something went wrong in the kitchen with my rackoribs. I didn't want to be a burden. My wife spoke to our waitress. Barbara, came to me and said, " sir, thank you so much for making us aware, this could've disappointed customers all day." We left happy as usual, stuffed! In the absence of a "certain sick" employee, Barbara and today's staff went the extra mile for me. Good vittles, real staff, mean what they say!

The Diner has reopened under new management, and we stopped by for dinner. The food was excellent, the service and atmosphere were warm and inviting. The location is just gorgeous. So glad we went!

Everything was so good from the appetizers, entrees, dessert, and the staff. We had corn nuggets with apple butter, messed up wings, burger with brisket (so good!), brisket plate with corn and Brussels. We shared all and got the banana pudding, pie, and fried pecan pie to take home.

The diner is next level. Kristin is an amazing chef and you absolutely must visit. You will not find a friendlier staff. Kristin will treat you well. You will feel like you are home. ❤

Ate a late lunch at the newly renovated Park Vista Motor Lodge & Diner and couldn't have been more pleased. The food, the service, and the ambiance were absolutely 5 stars. If you're travelling the Blueridge Parkway or just hanging out for a day in West Jefferson do yourself the huge favor of checking them out. Cute patio too.
