Park Vista Motor Lodge & Diner

Truly a lovely, iconic roadside motor lodge—a wonderful step back in time with all the modern conveniences and beautifully remodeled rooms. The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway was a huge plus!
We loved the easy self check-in, the covered porch with comfortable Adirondack chairs, and the peaceful mountain views. It was the perfect place to relax. We also had dinner at the restaurant and can highly recommend the fresh, locally sourced burger. Sadly, the General Store had already closed for the day, but we'll plan better on our next visit.
Communication from the host was prompt, thorough, and helpful throughout our stay.
We'll definitely be back!
Note: The only minor inconvenience was that there wasn't ice available on-site. However, the restaurant staff happily provided us with a small bag, which we greatly appreciated

Beautiful mountain location. Dog friendly rooms. Nice fire pits with free wood to use.. Outdoor seating in front of each room. Restaurant and general store on property which operates Thursday through Sunday.
The rooms are clean and well appointed.
Would stay here again.

A wonderful all-in-one stop for a weekend getaway from Charlotte. Great rooms, excellent food and drink selection at the diner, incredibly unique general store, all within walking distance to a gorgeous overlook on the Parkway. We will absolutely be returning!

Fun place

While traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 268, we almost passed by this location, but we were able to turn around at the overlook, and I am happy that we did. The location, service, and food were great! I would definitely return! Everyone was kind and helpful. If you’re traveling the Parkway, stop in, and you will see what I mean!

I visited the Park Vista Restaurant for lunch today. The food was good, staff friendly, There is indoor seating and outdoor seating under a shady trellis. You order at the counter and clear your own table. A variety of spirits, beer and wine are also available. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. Perfect for families, through hikers, locals and bikers from just off the nearby Mountain to Sea Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is newly renovated Motor Lodge on site. There is also small gift shop on the same property. A delightful place to visit.

A very warm and close family friendly like atmosphere. All the employee's appear to me to be devoted and happy with their jobs. They're well organized and act quickly to your request.

A group of 12 ate Breakfast here and loved It. The food was very good, eggs , bacon, ham, sausage and pancakes cooked perfect, grits are the best around, staff was very nice and attentive,will definitely return and highly recommend

Great place to come and relax.

This place exceeded my expectations in every way. The views were stunning and with close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The rooms were beautifully simplistic. I will definitely be back!

All staff were fantastic, clean rooms, quaint, relaxing, and comfortable. The diner serves great breakfast, lunch and drinks. General store authentic. Thank you for a wonderful stay and close to the venue.

This is truly a hidden gem. Beautiful location, easy check-in (self check-in) and the room was excellent. Lovely design and the bed was one of the best I’ve slept in in a hotel! I’ll definitely be back to this peaceful oasis. One suggestion is to get some vegan options in the diner, especially for coffee- there is no oat, soy, almond option for vegans.

Incredible view

Hotel was clean and easy to find. The diner and general store that rest on the same property are a treat. Very quiet and The hotel sitting on the top of the hill means you don’t see other buildings or the road from the rooms just the trees and Ridgeline.

Beautiful views. Newly updated rooms, easy access, accommodating staff. If youre considering booking. Do it!
