Amalfis italian restaurant and pizzeria

Usually a great place to eat but today messed up my food order and overcharged me and when I mentioned it to the owner ĥe was extremely rude

We attempted to dine here on 10/24 around 6pm. Once seated, it took our waitress Carly another 10 minutes to take our drink order. Due to that fact, we ordered our food and drinks at the same time. We had to flag our waitress down for every refill. 45 minutes after our food order and after watching numerous tables seated after us receive their food, we asked our waitress about our food. Her response was that she had just asked the kitchen about one of our dishes. About 5 minutes later we flagged her down again and asked for an update and she told us she didn’t know and walked away. She came back after another 5 minutes or so to tell us that she put the ticket in and now it’s not there and then she just stared at us, offered no suggestions about putting our order back in and putting a rush on it or any other reasonable option. We asked to close out the ticket on our drink orders and that we would leave and go somewhere else. Once she brought that ticket, we handed her cash and she walked away and never returned with our change, which we had to go request. I’ve received poor service before but I don’t believe I’ve ever had a restaurant or wait staff be so unapologetic for their bad service or mistake.

Crab cake was beautifully presented and tasty, Primavera calzone was tasty and well prepared.

Food is good, salads good, our waitress messed up my beer order, plenty parking, prices fair, can make reservations, I liked it.I will go back

Went for lunch while staying at a nearby campground. It was excellent!! Had the best Stromboli I’ve ever tasted. The pizza was delicious. Really enjoyed the bread while waiting for my meal. The staff was kind and always asking if I needed anything else. It was very affordable and a nice relaxing atmosphere. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! Can’t wait to return again in October when we will be back in the area.

A hidden gem! Excellent! We got takeout at this restaurant for the 1st time today. We lived in Astoria, Queens, NY for many years, which was a historic Italian and Greek neighborhood with very authentic old country restaurants. If I took a blind taste test, I would think I was still there. Very welcoming staff and comfortable atmosphere. This place is now on our regular rotation for takeout. My only regret was that I didn't order a 2nd dinner for myself.

Decent Italian food on the way to Boone/App State from Raleigh area. But, regretting that I didn’t go to Olive Garden instead for better quality Italian (yes, I said that). Chicken Piccata was adequate but not that authentic/flavor rich of Italian restaurants in bigger cities. Tendon not removed from filet before cooking. No ‘smell of garlic or sauce’ when you enter the establishment. But fine if you’re looking for a quick meal. Bread with dipping olive oil slightly spiced with red pepper flakes and ground pepper and a salad/soup are offered with entrees. I opted for the Caesar salad which was good. Had a glass of Merlot with my meal and either the glass or wine was just slightly not 100% clean. Tasted just a bit off. Arrived at 6pm during the week and the restaurant was about 1/2 capacity. Wait staff not overly attentive and had to ask a passing by wait staff member for water and then had to ask for a straw. In and out in about 30 minutes.

Bad attitude from the waitress due to an accident at the table. Personal problems are left outside of work. Customers do not have to put up with the bad attitude of the waiter, one is buying, not asking for a gift.

Overall a decent Italian, nothing super special but it's one of few Italian that's local to wilkesboro. Been a few years since and just wanted something different while passing through again. Most of the people in my party were satisfied.

Ordered a meat lovers 16” and was very disappointed with the small amount of meat. Just a sprinkling of all including pepperoni. Dough was not cooked well and very mushy! $20.00 ???

Love it, favorite place to go with my daughter for our girls day lunch
