My brother usually stops some well known place near Rocky Mount for BBQ, so today I stopped at Porky's claiming it was likely better. Nope. Sides were great, but the main event, bbq, was bad. Sauce was worse! Some sweet catsup crud. Not NC style not SC style. Yuck. Fried chicken was OK. Hushpuppies were unforgivably dry. A lot of great bbq in NC. Not here. Stick to chicken, mac&cheese and green beans!
Awesome food and incredible prices. If you find yourself traveling on route 17 and going through Williamston, you should stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You'll be glad you did.

First time trying this place. I love home type cooking and BBQ so thought this might be it. Plate of BBQ pork was very dry and stringy. Sweet sauce just ok. Red potatoes and fried apples were delicious. This was just okay for me. Would stop again, but probably just for the veggies.
