“I cannot recommend Burney's (Wilmington location specifcially) enough! The owner, Anthony, is incredibly kind and generous. I used them for my wedding desserts and got 6 flavors of croissants, cake balls, white wedding cake and a 15 layer caramel cake. Several people told me it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. My only regret is not getting more croissants because they were gone SO FAST - people are still talking about them! Not only was the quality of everything amazing (as it always is when I'm just visiting the store), but everyone was so kind and helpful. I did several tastings and this one was by far the best (in flavor and service), they have so many options, are super customizable, have a reliable staff - truly everything you could want in a local bakery or a wedding vendor!“

“Wow!!!! Just amazing!!! I could not get an order to go through online nor could my daughter so went to store. Line was long so knew it would be a long wait to get my order ready. Got the order in, they were so nice and went above and beyond for me. Said it would be about an hour, which I fully understood being how busy they were. I was going to wait in car and gave them my number to txt when ready. I want ya to know in less than 10 minutes they brought my order out to me!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it. Sooooo unbelievable!!!! Thank you so so much!!!!! Those teachers at Belville Elem. are loving their treats I’m sure!!!!!! Thank you so much again I truly appreciate all your great customer service!!!!!! “The food was excellent.The only complaint about the building was it was incredibly loud.I think it needed baffles. If I had any complaint about the food, it would be the chicken which was a purchase product, not grilled fresh, but it was still excellent and I still will go back.“

They have a nice selection of gluten free things too . which are great cause I use to like a guy who was gluten free and never got to eat sweets. Their treats helped me have a wonderful friendship with him .he was here for school and had to leave eventually but their products helped him fall for me. So like. “Was gifted a drink from a friend on 10/30/25. She brought it to me at a place I was volunteering. Unfortunately, it tasted so bitter and not good. It was an iced latte. I called to tell what happened and ask if I could come get a replacement when I was finished . The person I spoke to was extremely rude asking for a receipt (it was bought by a friend for me). I told her I didn’t have a receipt but I could bring the drink back . She then asked me the name of the person who bought it. I told she paid cash at the drive thru so she wasn’t asked her name. I had to go so I just said “forget it” . I was so aggravated so I called this morning. I spoke to Georgia. I explained what happened, and without hesitation she told me to come for a replacement. She was so friendly. I really appreciated Georgia’s desire to help me!!“

“We love the Port City Java location on Market Street. We are not locals, but you can tell that many of the AM customers are as the staff was greeting them by name. We had tea, coffee, and muffins. There is an ample selection of teas, coffees, muffins, and breads. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff is super friendly. Free refills is just an added bonus!“
