“Went in for the first time today with my friend who frequents there more. Was blown away by the awesome customer service, the speediness and cleanliness of the bakery. I got a half dozen bagels and a bagel sandwich and let me just say I will be back. So so good! and I tipped because they were so nice and kicking that long line out the door butt. Great job“

“My wife asked me to pick up some Creme Cheese Croissants about 6 months ago and they are usually great! The Cream Cheese, Glazed, Cinnamon, etc. My only rant is when I ordered 2 dozen of them. The 1st dozen was all Cream Cheese & the 2nd dozen were mixed. Well when I got home we noticed that the Cream Cheese ones were extra stuffed. There was an excessive amount of the Cream Cheese in each one. I called and explained this to the young lady that took my call. She apologized, which was great customer service. I went in the next morning with my receipt and asked for manager.

After explaining our issue to her, she asked if we wanted to purchase another dozen in place of the over filled ones. I told her that was okay. I was not looking to "purchase" another dozen for the original price. I would have accepted a replacement dozen, that were filled maybe half of what they normally do. So I was out of that bill.

Over a year ago we'd get two dozen of the same order previously stated and the Cream Cheese one's didn't have as much filling as the ones recently purchased. I guess it's new management, with an updated filling policy.

Nevertheless, we got some glazed donuts this past weekend. The donuts were moist (not dry like most places around here)! We usually get Krispy Kreme donuts but decided to give these a try. They were nice sized donuts, great glaze ratio and perfect sweetness to batter. So I guess we'll get donuts from here from now on.“

“I cannot recommend Burney's (Wilmington location specifcially) enough! The owner, Anthony, is incredibly kind and generous. I used them for my wedding desserts and got 6 flavors of croissants, cake balls, white wedding cake and a 15 layer caramel cake. Several people told me it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. My only regret is not getting more croissants because they were gone SO FAST - people are still talking about them! Not only was the quality of everything amazing (as it always is when I'm just visiting the store), but everyone was so kind and helpful. I did several tastings and this one was by far the best (in flavor and service), they have so many options, are super customizable, have a reliable staff - truly everything you could want in a local bakery or a wedding vendor!“

“Wow!!!! Just amazing!!! I could not get an order to go through online nor could my daughter so went to store. Line was long so knew it would be a long wait to get my order ready. Got the order in, they were so nice and went above and beyond for me. Said it would be about an hour, which I fully understood being how busy they were. I was going to wait in car and gave them my number to txt when ready. I want ya to know in less than 10 minutes they brought my order out to me!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it. Sooooo unbelievable!!!! “I have been to this location several times and always have a good experience, but I wanted to highlight a specific employee for his incredible kindness and customer service. His name is Jake and he is always such a pleasure to deal with. When I was in the other day, I witnessed such a sweet moment with Jake and a customer. I was waiting for my coffee drink, and this elderly man approached the counter who looked like he was having a bad day. His face lit up when he saw Jake and said “Hi Jake it’s so great to see you here today!” Jake also remembered the customers name who was getting a refill on a coffee. Jake rinsed out the customers mug while chatting with him and replenished it with fresh coffee. They chatted back-and-forth and the man walked away with a huge smile on his face. You could tell that Jake made a positive impact on his day and it was so wonderful to watch! Jake is always cheerful and genuine and it made my day to see a young man care about his customers so much!
