This restaurant gives Miami vibes. Food, service and atmosphere are all fantastic. It was honestly a perfect experience.
Wow! Love this place. Eight of us dined here a few days ago. They don't take reservations unless you are a party of 8 or more, so there can be a wait. It was a little tight fight where we sat, but we managed. There is also outdoor dining, which is really nice.
What a colorful and lively place. It is on the noisy side, so fair warning. My husband had to turn down the volume of his hearing aids.
We started with a round of drinks. The waitress brought us chips and fried plantains with a green sauce. It was excellent.
For my entrée (which I had such a hard time choosing), I had the enchiladas, which each had a different meat inside (chicken, ropa vieja and birra beef. They had a nice sauce on top along with a Mexican crema and cheese. It also came with rice and a side salad. Very flavorful and filling.
My husband had the ropa vieja arepas. Those were fantastic!
Our friends enjoyed their selections. Great menu with lots of delicious sounding choices.
We ended our meal sharing churros with three different dipping sauces.
We were amazed a the number of staff in the restaurant.
I can't wait to go back!
Really great place! We will def be back!
If you’re visiting or a local, one meal and it will be one of your favorites! Deliciously different. We ate twice in two days so we could try more of their offerings. The outdoor seating at the marina is a bonus! On street parking as well as a near by garage. Don’t miss Bonita!
The food was amazing. The service of awful.
My wife, daughter and I ate here today. My pork belly tacos were hard as a rock. They were awful. My daughter had birria tacos and she said they weren't good at all. My wife had the mini Chimichangas and she enjoyed them. The restaurant was empty and service was super slow. With the restaurant being empty I have no idea why it took 25 minutes to get our food. What a waste of $70. We will never come back, Taco Bell has better tacos.
My husband and I dined at Bonita Latin Fusion twice over the 4th of July weekend ...that’s how much we loved it! The food was absolutely delicious, and the vibe of the place is beautiful, with a vibrant, modern Latin touch that feels both warm and stylish. What really stood out was Jasmine, the manager. She was so welcoming, upbeat, and on top of everything. From the moment we walked in, she made sure our experience was smooth and enjoyable. Even during the dinner rush, she was hands-on, helping the staff and checking in on tables without ever being overbearing.
You can tell she truly cares about the guests and staff. Her energy was contagious and made the whole place feel alive. We left happy, and we’ll definitely be back.
The service was great and the food was A~Mazing!!!
Wilmington has a huge increase of "trendy" dining options and this is one of the good ones. Good location, good food, and good service. If you are lucky you can get some free street parking in front of Pier 33.
Parking: Pier 33 has free parking out front, or a paid garage.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bonita Restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely excellent—every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They went above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you're looking for a great place for a casual meal or a special night out, Bonita Restaurant is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back!

Bonita Restaurant is a true gem that beautifully represents Latin culture through its vibrant ambiance, authentic cuisine, and exceptional hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel like family. Their attentiveness and passion for the food were evident, and the owner’s personal touch in greeting guests added an extra layer of warmth to the experience.
The food was nothing short of spectacular—each dish bursting with rich, authentic flavors. The fresh ceviche, and perfectly seasoned ropa vieja were standout dishes, while the handcrafted cocktails elevated the meal.
Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere was lively and inviting, making every moment special. Bonita Restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a celebration of Latin culture and hospitality. I can't wait to return!

Bonita Latina is an absolute gem! If you’re a ceviche lover like I am, their ceviche is a must-try—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The chimichurri tacos are another standout—unique and packed with bold flavors, offering a different take on traditional tacos. The atmosphere is vibrant, the service is top-notch, and the cocktails perfectly complement the dishes. Highly recommend!
