Ceviche was a bit spicy 🔥 Did not expect that. Drinks Were not hateful. However, the glass that they served me in was chipped and could easily have cut me. When I told the waitress I would throw this away before someone gets cut, she looked at me like I was crazy. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. They were not crazy busy, but she didn't check in often.Came back to edit, we both were sick after. Not a flu bug. Won't be back.

Great food but terrible service. We were sitting outside and it started raining really hard. Not a single server came to help us try to move, we did it on our own. They closed the windows but didn't even look at us. In fact, one server stood outside taking pictures of the rainstorm while we were right beside him desperately trying to save our meal. Any decent person would have at least opened the door for people whose hands were full, trying to escape the rain, let alone someone who is paid as a server... but no. Once we seated ourselves inside, almost all the staff were sitting alone staring at their phones. When it was time to close the check, the only tip options were 30%, 25% and 20%... I never write bad reviews but this was sad to see.

This place is what happens when you try and apply lipstick to a wild boar. From the beautiful decor and amazing location, you would think the food would be decadent and divine, but I found myself wanting more and actually wanting to rewind my day and wish I never came. It took the waitress, who, no joke, had leaves stuck in her hair or some type of branches, not sure if she appeared from the woods, but anyways, took her forever to get to us, and then when she did, she was apathetic as all get out. When the food came fifty minutes later, the sluggish waitress never came back to ask us how it was. My friend and I ordered sushi, and that was the biggest mistake I have probably ever made in my life, and I have two children. The sushi was warm and soggy like it had been baking out in the warm summer solstice all day. It tasted as if they got it from Food Lion down the ole road, and they smeared some soy to give it that Asian persuasion flavor. Big flop. Had two bites and ran into the bathroom because I thought I was going to be sick. Do not eat here.

We went on a Sunday at 7pm. Group of 8 and I do take accountability for not doing a reservation. We had seen the website and facebook page and we were so excited to try this place. We get there and 3 employees are just hovering the host station. The place seems empty, there are like 4 customers outside and a couple more inside, yet we were told it would be a 1.5hour wait they closed at 9pm so it would put us at being seated at 8:30(with only 30mins to eat.) Seemed quite long being that the resaurant was near empty. We went outside, it took us about 30mins to search for a different restaurant and this restaurant still looked emtpy. Not entirely mad but very dissapointed on how they handled their wait time because it did not match the appearance. (Too much of a wait time for an almost emtpy restaurant). Will not give it a second try.

Love this place! The food is creative, original and absolutely delicious. This is a place we love to take friends to.

A couple came to visit and we took them here thinking that it would be a good experience because its different and unique for Wilmington. It was a nightmare. The tables were empty and they would not seat us for 45 minutes. We sat at the bar and ordered a flight and It wasn't even presented well. The bartender was very unattentive and acted as if she was bothered and it wasn't even busy. Our appetizer was burnt and very small portions We left and went to the Marina grill embarrassed. Anyway I thought we'd give them another chance the next weekend I took my sister from out of town and five of us got seated immediately however we ordered the $17 appetizer with the plantain chips and once again we received a little basket of regular tortillas and no plantain chips and very tiny portions so I ask her about the plantain chips and she said oh we don't give them out unless you ask for them. well it's clearly on the menu as part of the appetizer she said they were saving them. Okay.... Don't even want to go there with that. My husband ordered the sushi and a long black hair was hanging out of it And I swear I'm not kidding my sister bit on a piece of chicken and there was a bone and chipped her tooth. I asked the waiter was the restaurant having problems because we didn't get the full menus with pictures which is part of the experience and all the portions were small. I texted them to give them a chance and asked for a manager or owner to get in touch with me and I haven't heard back . Very very disappointed because I was hoping this place would make it but the reviews are 3.9 and I should have looked at that first. The fact that they didn't get back with us tells the tale. Sorry y'all I really don't like bringing bad news for a restaurant downtown because we need all that we can get to improve experiences down there but this is just not where you want to take someone to impress them. I do not like leaving these type of reviews but when they refuse to contact you back, that really says it all

I am so disappointed. My husband and I went here for our date night dinner because it looked so fun and good! We got there and 3 employees were just chatting behind the bar - no one came to the hostess stand to greet us. So we sat at the bar. The employees behind the bar ignored us for the first few minutes of sitting there. I asked for menus and the bartender unhappliy shoved just 1 my way so we had to share it to see what we wanted. The same bartender (red headed petite girl) had horrible attitude the entire time we were there. Ignored us most of the time and when she did interact she seemed like we were annoying her. She brought me the wrong beer because she obviously didn't care or want to do her job that day. I was sick to even give money to this place (not a cheap restaurant) because the service was so bad. I get to go out with my husband maybe 1 time every few months so this was such a bust for us.

My family and I’s first time here and it was amazing! We will be back.

I am writing to share my feedback regarding a disappointing experience I had at your restaurant today.

Upon my arrival, there was no line, yet I was greeted by a hostess who was not polite and informed me there would be a 30-minute wait for both indoor and outdoor seating. I agreed to this and joined the waitlist.

After waiting outside for approximately 15 minutes, I noticed that the outdoor dining area remained completely empty. Furthermore, I witnessed three separate parties of two walk in and be seated immediately. When I checked my place on the waitlist, I saw that there were no other parties ahead of me and that I was the only person waiting. Despite this, several hostesses were standing in the front area and did not attempt to assist me.

As this was my first time visiting your establishment, I was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism and the inconsistent handling of the waitlist. I hope you will look into this matter to improve the service for future guests

The way this visit started off with my feeling so hurt. They have a limited menu on event nights ( like concerts.) I had my mouth set up for several different options and not one was on the menu. Enter Frank. He literally made the whole experience so great. We ordered every single thing he recommended because he was able to sell the flavors like someone who enjoys the food. Every. Single. Thing. Hit. Drinks were on point. We were coming back again anyway but now we know whose section we want to sit in.

The art and atmosphere are always beautiful and all together this has been my favorite visit.

OK—-So let me just say that the place is beautifully decorated very bright place love the paintings with all the hummingbirds and the decor is absolutely lovely. I went there with my 16-year-old daughter and my 3 1/2 month old daughter…. We went on a Wednesday after 4pm. No one was at the hostess desk we waited about 7-8 minutes with several staff walking by never speaking. Finally we were sat….where we waited another almost 15 minutes before we were asked if we would like drinks…. Let me just also add…. We were the ONLY women customers—- all the other customers were men and all the waitstaff were women. When the men came in they were VERY PROMPTLY and POLITELY sat….even given chips and salsa….when we asked for chips and salsa we told the the policy had changed and they no longer give chip and salsa however the men before us and after us that were sat were given chips and salsa as soon as being sat without ordering them….the food was just barely mediocre. Tastes like a freezer meal honestly…. Some of our meal was raw but we couldn’t get the attention of our waitress to bring it to her attention. Never again…..NO BONITA!!!
