Amazing in every way.
Atmosphere, food, service, drinks. If you love Indochine you will instantly love Cafe Chinois, their sister restaurant.
Check out the lunch menu too and don’t forget to look at the amazing artwork.
I think our chef was asleep! Our food was bland, lacking vegetables, raw broccoli (which was supposed to be steamed). Husband ordered HOT. Not at all. I ordered Korean Bulgogi. It was awful! I’ve had a lean quisene with more flavor. Such a disappointment. We were expecting the quality as Indochine. We will never go back.
Absolutely delicious food and an artsy eclectic atmosphere

Cafe Chinois in Wilmington, NC offers a great lunch menu with $11.50 options, including the popular Drunken Noodles. The restaurant features a clean, energetic atmosphere reminiscent of Thai food. With plenty of vegan and gluten-free options available, the food is authentic, providing a taste of Vietnamese cuisine. The knowledgeable staff enhances the dining experience, making it upscale without being overly expensive.
The portions are generous, and the menu includes tasty dishes like Massaman Curry, Viet Bun Tau Xao Rau, and creamy Panang curry. The Thai iced tea is also praised for its flavor. Customers often comment on the huge portions and high-quality ingredients, with some highlighting the care put into every dish, from garnishes to flavors.
Many recommend trying the Pho, which is considered the best in Wilmington, and enjoy the lively atmosphere and unique decor. Vegan options like the mixed vegetable dish and the Korean Japchae, made with sweet potato noodles, tofu, green onions, snow peas, bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, soy sauce, and sesame oil, are highly praised for their flavor and uniqueness. The bar menu also receives positive comments, especially the White Lotus Vesper, which combines lychee purée with Kettle One and Tangueray Gin for a stylish and not overly sweet drink.
