LaRita cancelled on me for my wedding cake FOUR DAYS before my wedding and didn't even call to let me know - she sent an email!! She also said she would refund my money, but never did! I filed with the better business bureau. Stay clear of this “business”.

La Rita Lees is amazing to work with, she recently created a surprise cake for my son which the party was held at a local restaurant here in Wilmington. The restaurant was so impressed with her cake that they actually featured LaRita's cake in THEIR own display case. A whole restaurant of people tried to get her cake ordered for their own dessert, but it was ours and we were not going to share any of our Carolina Cakes & Confections Cake! The taste of it melted like butter, so light...we get a cake from them every year. She has made my son so happy once again!

The cake was great!! Very moist, dense and flavorful without the overwhelming sweetness, just great! I sent her a picture from Pintrest and she created exactly what I wanted and she even threw in an additional tier and free hand made paper flowers!

She made a truly beautiful wedding cake for us in 2010, simple and elegant. Red velvet butter-cream...Not too sweet, just right. We were so pleased that we get a small one each anniversary.

Completely unprofessional and rude My wife asked for something very simple and we payed an outrageous amount and didn't get anything close to what we wanted. We had a gender reveal cake for our future kid Which we payed 50$ at Walmart and it turned out to be a trillion times better looking and tasting cake. Don't waste your time with la Rita and Carolina cakes and confections.
