The quality of food has gone downhill steadily over the last few years. I used to love the cabbage, specifically, but it tastes more like butter than cabbage anymore. The okra used to be really good (no one else seems to prepare it that way), but now it's incredibly greasy and cold each time. The story repeats for the other food items.With the steady decline in quality and the steep rise in pricing, I won't be returning.It's been 2 hours and I now feel sick to my stomach. What happened to you, Casey's??

I've always wanted to try Casey's for years but noticed there's never many cars in the parking lot but we went the other day and we were considering making it one of our regulars but we were very disappointed in the food. The food wasn't freshly made and we got there right when it opened and the desserts were dried up looking and tasting. The lady that checked us out asked us how it was and I said fair and she didnt ask "why just fair". We were very disappointed.

I can't say enough about the exceptionally wonderful experience I had at Casey's. Goodness!!! I can honestly say that I've never ate at a buffet or any other restaurant on par with Casey's! Almost hurt myself enjoying the best soul food restaurant ever! Can't wait to go again!! Wasn't a thing I got off the buffet that didn't have me saying ...mmmph mmmph mmmmmmmph!
Edit Review: We returned today to try again. Everything was great. The food was hot and delicious. They really worked hard cleaning the place. They have new carpet and everything smelled clean. I'm so happy we can return to our favorite restaurant. Make sure you try Casey's in Wilmington NC .*****back to 5 starsFor many, many years Casey's was my favorite place. Things have changed and not for the best. It smelled like wet dog and the carpets, sneeze guards, were very dirty. Our table was dirty and wiped off with a napkin. We sat in the back near the food and the male waiter was awful. He stood around watching people after asked for drink refills/ condiments. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The lemon pepper fish was pink and gummy inside. The desert bar was pitiful, everything was dry and old. I could go on The owners are very nice people but if they can't fix this they should close. First thing is clean!!Unfortunately, we will not be back unless someone says they fix everything. I also had a stomach ache after eating there. ?.

This is the absolute best comfort food in Wilmington! Everything is amazing and you truly feel like you are at home when you are here. Every single person who works there is beyond genuine and kind. It’s our families favorite restaurant.
