The best Mexican food I’ve had in Wilmington!
Amazing restaurant. Lots of options on the menu, full bar, incredible food. If you want authentic Mexican food in Wilmington this is THE spot to go. I had the Birria Torta and it was incredible. Management was incredibly nice, even gave us free cake as we were finishing our meal. Eat here!

I was born and raised in Mexico City and I can tell you that this Mexican restaurant is on my top five for all of North and South carolina. The barbacoa and pastor tacos are by far the best I've had in a while....the variety in quality of the salsas makes or brakes on Mexican restaurant for me and they exceeded expectations. Also do not forget to try the aguas frescas, which are signature flavored waters for any good Mexican restaurant. Absolutely fantastic Mexican restaurant, delicioso!!!!

Everything was good. Food, staff and atmosphere I give a 10!
Very spacious places, atmosphere is comfy, an easy place to take your time and enjoy the food. The service was good, not overly interested in being proactive and or making suggestions. It was as though they were afraid to make recommendations or assume we have been there before. Simply asking have you been here could have changed our impression. We had to find the salsa bar and figure it out on our own. The Birria Ramen was a hit. The consome was balanced. Had depth of flavor you would expect without being too heavy or oily to slurp down as a soup broth. I had a ceviche style tostada. The naming was similar to another item, when I asked what was the difference, I was told the spice level. I ordered the spicy one and it didn’t miss. Spicy seafood with orange lemon citrus flavors accenting the spice level and elevating the seafood flavors. My wife had nachos. The crema and meat portions were generous. It’s like magic how the can of op the tortilla chips with so much and they maintain a crispiness until the last bite

About a 10 minute drive from Wilmington airport. Had the tacos and horchata. Our tacos were slightly cold and cilantro and onion were missing but you could serve this yourself at their salsa bar. The salsa bar was great as you could get the serving size al gusto. Believe the tortillas were homemade. Our cashier offered us a free refill of the horchata - just what I needed after a long travel day. Will be coming back to try other menu items!

We may live about two hours away from a Chingon Taqueria, but we always make it a point to stop when we're in the area. We love everything about the restaurant. The food and quantity is well worth the price, in our opinion. Our favorite items are the tortas, coctel, sopes de cachete and the agua frescas. The staff is very friendly and always willing to answer questions for clarification as the menu can be a bit overwhelming if you have never been. We will continue to visit each time we're in the Wilmington area. Thank you for always providing delicious Mexican food. We hope you guys consider branching out towards the Raleigh area.
