Absolutely Disgraceful — Especially on Pride Night
I don’t even know where to begin with how appalling our experience was at this bar. We came out expecting to celebrate Pride, to feel welcomed, affirmed, and part of a community. Instead, what we got was blatant profiling and power-tripping doormen.
Before we even stepped foot inside, my friend — was profiled by the doormen for being “too hot.” Claiming he was too drunk to enter ( we has just come from dinner and didn’t even start drinking lol) They then forced him to perform a sobriety test right there on the sidewalk, treating him like a criminal for literally standing in line. Later, when he took a short break from dancing — not bothering anyone, just sitting — they kicked him out without cause. No discussion. No explanation. Just thrown out, wouldn’t let him pay his tab, and would not let go of him when he politely told them the physical touch was not necessary.
The irony of this happening on Pride Night is nauseating. A night that's meant to uplift and include turned into one of the most humiliating and alienating experiences we've had at a venue that claims to be LGBTQ+ friendly. That’s not just bad business — it’s a disgrace.
We will never spend another dime here, and I encourage others to think twice before supporting a place that clearly has no idea what community or customer service actually means.

First and foremost please check your bill after a night out here as they will be sure to place drinks on your tab that you never consumed.Totally unprofessional staff who’s doorman punched a friend of mine. Crazy this place is still open.

Went in on a whim because they listed playing 80's and 90's music. Didn't hear any while we were there having drinks but it was a great atmosphere. This place just needs some time to get going and get some people in there.

The fun atmosphere and music made the annual 80s prom event a blast. However, be cautious about overcharging for drinks — I was charged $39 for a $15 fishbowl and a regular mixed drink, which shouldn't have been more than $10.

My friend rented the VIP out for her wedding after party. The atmosphere was great and the staff was amazing! Forever grateful for the GM (I think her name was Debbie?) you are the real MVP!
The only thing that was 80s in this club was the DJ. they played nothing from the 80s and 90s. There were other couples desperate to dance and there was a lot of modern music because that’s all he played. I was very disappointed. I hope my review will somehow reach out to the owner to stop the false advertising

The general Manager Melissa is super nice, professional and helpful. I don’t really go out at all because I don’t like being around too many people. Melissa offered us a VIP table. The VIP section is very comfortable and spacious. The drinks were delicious especially their famous FishBowls. Their lemon drop Shots is what brought me back to Coglins. The Music is all 80s 90s which I love. All the employees are very welcoming, the bathrooms are very clean. I love how they have different events it brings me out of my shell and I’m being more comfortable going out and dancing. I give this nightclub 5 ⭐️ and I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone celebrating any kind of event.
