I came here when they first opened and was underwhelmed. Last night we decided to try it again. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I thought enchiladas would be a good choice. Wrong! My food was dry and overspiced I could only eat half of it before I stopped trying to be polite. My dinner companions did not complain about their choices-a salad and a quesadilla but agreed that mine was inedible. Service was pretty good, although I got the impression our server was new. She tried to do a good job so no problem with service. I would not recommend this restaurant.

After we were seated, we waited close to 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. Once we did get service, it was never from the same person or timely. We consistently saw our server at other tables, which he prioritized over ours. Our drinks were consistently empty. I had to go to the bar to get our check, which finally prompted our server to ask me if everything was okay. We would have stayed longer and had more drinks, but we didn't feel like valued customers. We don't get out much in the area, so we were disappointed in our choice for dinner. We were never apologized to for the poor service, which was evident even to the employees. The food was excellent, but the service was terrible.

TLDR; Best Benedict, great bartender. I'm not totally certain the food was as awesome as I remember, or I was on a post surf glow; irregardless (sic) this place was absolutely amazing 2019.10.13. Bartender(Molly) was helpful and overall awesome. I generally find Benedict's to be over rated, SoCal Benedict was one of the top two Benedict's I've had in my life. FWP: Too many things on the menu I want to try. Definitely have to come back.

I've just recently rediscovered this restaurant. unfortunately, I've gotten stuck on the tuna stack. I recently started getting their marinade mushrooms on the side which has taken a great dish a level higher!

Dropped in for brunch with the in-laws on an early Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent and the food was even better. The French toast was amazing and very highly recommended. Thank you, Sarah, for taking such good care of us. This place is definitely worth checking out.
