We decided to give this place another shot since we had visited it a year or so ago for brunch. Didn't leave a review and was not impressed but it's very local so we like to support. Well we decided to drop in and have a few cocktails. Loved the Christmas decor. Nice job 👏 . Rolls are delicious. So we decided to try some food. 5 o'clock Happy hour and we waited and waited to be acknowledged. Got our drinks and ordered some apps. Food came and it looked good until my wife picked up the oyster "hairofellar" with a big nasty hair built in. Couldn't eat any of the other food. Was completely turned off by then. I had ordered another drink that never made it to our spot. Sent the food back and asked for the bill. We just wanted to leave because the service was absolutely terrible and appetite lost. Throw it all out. The owner even came out and talked to every old person at the bar and never looked my wife and my way. Whatever. No biggie but I get the bill and the bartender charged me for the drink I ordered and never received. He did take the hair with the oyster to the owner and said he would come talk to us. Didn't really want to talk to him. A manager showed up to say sorry and take the hairy oyster Rockefeller off the bill. Never did talk to the owner which is fine. Just giving an honest review. I give LOTS of 5 star reviews for great eateries in our area and elsewhere. Just scroll thru my reviews. We have some great places in Wilmington...this is definitely not one that deserves your time or money.

Absolutely obsessed with this restaurant. The food is always impeccable and the restaurant itself is beautiful and clean. Great service and I love the big bar area. I always get the espresso ribeye with mashed potatoes and a salad and it never disappoints. Highly recommend.

Just finished the Thanksgiving dinner we brought home from J421 which we picked up at the restaurant. The turkey was obviously brined and very juicy. The corn chowder was the best I have ever had. Stuffing and gravy was outstanding. The dessert, a cranberry apple cake, made everyone very happy. Thanks for a great Thanksgiving the folks. Hope you do it all again next year!

We used to live in Wilmington prior to moving to Charlotte. Today we came back for a visit and decided to dine at our favorite restaurant in Wilmington. And we were not disappointed! In fact, it has gotten even better than we remembered. We started with the Fried Pimiento appetizer and were very pleased. They were light, slightly crispy and just plain delicious. For entrees, my wife ordered the Grilled Salmon and I ordered the Sunday special Chicken Parmesan. Both portions were delicious; fresh and perfectly seasoned. And the Chicken Parmesan portion was massive. It was wonderful. Congratulations Jonathan and Shirena! Your restaurant continues to offer outstanding food in a great atmosphere and impeccable service! We will see you again next time we are in town!

Stop on in and treat yourself to some great food. At first look you might think you are in a franchise spot nothing could be further from that first look. The Owner Johnathan knows how to make sure you feel welcome and well taken care of. Everyone was very pleased at the table 😀. JUNCTION 421 will be in our regular rotation.

Walked in after a souring day, and they had both of mine and my gf's favorite foods as the special for that day haha! I had the Monte Cristo and gasped when the waitress put it on the table, it was massive and delicious! Gf had the Chicken Parm which was also giant haha. We got a very refreshing lemon sorbet at the end, I think it came with the chicken? No clue but we didn't order it and it was very tasty. The host at the door was also super upbeat and kind. We had a fantastic time.
I hope they add the Monte Cristo to the actual menu one day, it's so hard to find a place that serves them!
Got the Bleu Cheese sirloin, it was really good. They always have good food and great service.
Kid-friendliness: Brought my 3 year old, and the waitresses and the hostesses treated him really well.

Warm, friendly & down to earth setting made our date night perfect. We had the shrimp & grits and the grilled salmon preceeded by fried pimento cheese. As my father in law would say, "4 Forks"! It was outstanding! The BEST part was reconnecting with Jonathan & getting to meet his wife Serena. Salt of the earth people who genuinely appreciate your patronage.
