I recommend Moe’s BBQ because of Brenden Stevenson. He’s the kind of guy whose hands on with anything and everything. As he worked tirelessly at Moe's Original BBQ. As the kitchen manager, Brenden was the heartbeat of the place, the one who kept the rhythms of chopping, grilling, and saucing in perfect harmony. Under his watch, the kitchen was a well-oiled machine. His team respected him, not just for his work ethic, but for his fairness and the way he could crack a joke right when the dinner rush tension hit its peak. He trained his staff with patience, guiding them through the dance of a busy kitchen with ease. Definitely solid employee to have on the moe’s team especially in times of need!!

A Decade-Long Love Affair with Moe’s BBQWhenever I think of comfort food, Moe’s BBQ is at the forefront of my mind. I first stumbled upon Moe’s in Orange Beach, Alabama, back in 2008 while enjoying a concert by Widespread Panic. Little did I know, this chance encounter would turn into a long-standing tradition. Over the years, my appreciation for Moe’s BBQ has only grown, especially learning that the founders are also big fans of Widespread Panic, which added a unique personal touch to my visits.Fast forward to now, living in North Carolina, I was thrilled to find a Moe’s BBQ right near my mother-in-law’s house in Wilmington. Just recently, after a hectic spring break trip, we decided to grab a quick dinner from Moe’s, and as always, they did not disappoint. The pulled chicken was a hit with my boys, Charles and Perry, while my wife savored the pulled pork plate. I indulged in the wings, and the quality and flavor were exactly what we needed after a long drive—pure comfort.Moe’s has been consistently excellent, a staple for almost two decades of my life. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I cannot recommend Moe’s BBQ enough. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience wrapped in tradition and good taste. If you haven’t been yet, give them a try. From one BBQ lover to another, Moe’s never misses!

Good bbq. The sides were okay, we liked the corn bread and collards the best. Only one type of bbq sauce offered, but it was a good sauce. It was crowded when we went and the parking lot only had a few spaces left.
My husband got us take out. Pulled pork w/sauce on the side is not BBQ. I would have returned the hush puppies, as they were very, very dark, hard and inedible. Why was butter in the order when there's nothing that requires it? I feel so disappointed!

Stopped in for lunch with a recommendation from our daughter. We had the rib platter for 2 w mac and cheese, baked beans and cornbread. We heard the wings were outstanding so we added 3 of them as well. My husband and I had a difficult time deciding what item we loved best. Everything was perfect, including the bartender Andy. He took the time to give us the history of Moe's and also tell us about the menu specials weekly. Andy followed up with treating us with a sample of the banana puddingLet me just say...I would have never ordered this as not a fan of banana pudding, but I am now. I added it to our wing order for the super bowl. It is an absolute must!! A couple extra things to add, this is a bbq place , things are served on trays w plastic silverware as all bbq should be. It's a very relaxed, neat and clean place. When ordering make sure you know or know to ask about the red or white sauces. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
Great food, great service and reasonably priced.
