Moe's Original BBQ Reviews
Blessed! Blessed! Blessed!
The corn bread and sides were very good, but the ribs were cold and not very meaty, and the beef brisket was cold, very tuff, chewy, and dry. This was by far the worst brisket that I have ever eaten. Ironically, I am 64 years old and a native of NC and I eat at a lot of barbecue restaurants in the eastern U.S., and I have never left a review or negative message for any restaurant that I have ever eaten at in my entire life! This is my first. My son graduated college at UNCW...read full review

Moe's Original BBQ is a favorite stop offering phenomenal food, a lovely atmosphere, and live music on the patio. The entire staff is friendly, food comes out fast, and everything on the menu is delicious. The debate between Mission or Moe's for good BBQ is tough, but the mac & cheese is a good reason to come here. The ribs are a standout, and guests never leave hungry. Smoked wings are flash fried to perfection and go great with buffalo dipping sauce. The pulled pork nacho platter is also satisfying. A catfish dinner was good, with sweet and spicy baked beans and cornbread heated on the flat iron and toasted in butter. The fried green tomatoes are some of the best, and the potato salad has a unique flavor reminiscent of German potato salad. The smoked chicken, pulled pork, and cold beer pair perfectly with live music or classic rock overhead. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly and attentive, and a parking lot full of trucks is a good sign of great food.
