As the kitchen manager, Brenden was the heartbeat of the place, the one who kept the rhythms of chopping, grilling, and saucing in perfect harmony. Under his watch, the kitchen was a well-oiled machine. His team respected him, not just for his work ethic, but for his fairness and the way he could crack a joke right when the dinner rush tension hit its peak. He trained his staff with patience, guiding them through the dance of a busy kitchen with ease. Definitely solid employee to have on the moe’s team especially in times of need!!“
“Pulling up to a barbecue restaurant that was in a strip mall we were a little skeptical but let me be the first to say this was absolutely wonderful smoked meat. The barbecue was tender and moist as was the brisket. The tenders were okay but not as good as the rest. The homemade chips were delicious as were all the sides! This is one of the restaurants where you can tell the owner cares about his food and it truly shows. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the service quick. Highly recommend!“
“My hubby and I got to experience this amazing food truck today! The food is absolutely amazing. We had the jerk chicken bowl and jerk chicken tacos. Their slaw is so good and the spice on the chicken is just right. The price for the portion is perfect too. Can’t wait to eat there again!“

“Love this place!! Their barbecue sandwiches are the BOMB . . . my only recommendation is please make sure the bread doesn’t fall apart!! Maybe drain the barbecue and the coleslaw a little more before putting it on. Today’s sandwich was good . . . but they have been a bit soggy in the past. Keep up the good work!!“
“Smithfield’s is always consistently delicious with clean restaurants and super curtious employees. The food quality is always very high. Just please please please put some bananas in the banana pudding. Southerners know there should be actual bananas in there rather than banana flavoring and they notice it every time. That’s my only criticism.“
“Nice clean restaurant. All servers where very attentive and friendly.Our lunch was prepared and cooked well.I had the strawberry/pecan salad with a seafood chowder on the side. Very filling and tasty. Lots of shrimp and lobster in the dish. Will eat there again.“
“Stopped here for the first time ever at the urging of a coworker that was riding with me. The hot dogs all the way with slaw were excellent. I've driven by here many times over the years but never noticed it until my coworker told me to pull in. Quick service and great tasting hot dogs and fries for the money.“
“I used the wishlist app was very helpful to reserve seating for 3. Took 30 minutes to get there with only 10 minutes to spare to be seated. Girls worked together very well to get customers in..Food came in a timely fashion our waitress was very attentive and friendly.The food was good. I got a sirloin steak. I should have asked for it cooked medium not medium well. Because it waz true to the menu. Still good but learned better how I liked it! The catfish is wonderful and the bacon cheeseburger! Definitely go back again!“
“This has been one of my favorite bbq restaurants in North Carolina, and I have been eating NC bbq for almost 60 years. However, I recently ate here, and apparently they have made what I consider a massive change. Instead of chopping their bbq, it was shredded, and this totally changed the taste. The Q tasted as if it had been boiled in water. I came back home to South Carolina and pulled out a container of frozen Q from Jackson's from when they were chopping it. I warmed it and it was soooooo much better than their change to shredded Q. I'm not going to change my star ratings, though, in hopes that they will change back to the MUCH better chopped product.“
“My wife and I dined in a few months back. It was about an hour before closing but we figured we could be in an out in a timely manner. I used to work in the restaurant industry so I understood knocking out some of the cleaning duties, however it took 15 minutes for our waitress to come get our drinks after we were seated. There was another issue with the food and the manager came by to check on our table as he was doing with all other guests.We told him of a couple of the inconveniences and he insisted on correcting the issues. He apologized for the errors and went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. All of this to say, the world needs more managers like the one that was working that night. My wife and I are the last people to ever consider "speaking with the manager" but he came to our table first to check in on us. He was empathetic and asked us to please come again soon. We certainly will be back for many years to come. Thank you to the folks over at K38 for having the right people, and good food too!“
