$1 tacos can’t be beat. Flavors pretty good but they make tacos at rocket speed which is good to move the line along but no 2 tacos are ever the same. One has 3 beans, one has too much rice, one is twice the size of the next because they throw the taco fillings on at mach speed! I’ll still be back for that price but it’s sloppy at best.
Best Tacos I've had in Wilmington since I moved here. Just don't go to the one on right off Oleander.
I've been coming to Islands for many years. I really enjoy the spicy chicken tacos and the seasoned chips that come with it. For years the food has always tasted delicious and healthy. They're priced extremely fair and I feel it's a lot of value. If you come after 5pm some of their tacos are $1.

Islands Fresh Mex Grill is a restaurant where the tacos are priced extremely fair and offer a lot of value. Some tacos are $1 after 5pm, with a lunch deal at $1.99. The spicy chicken tacos and the seasoned chips that come with it are enjoyed by regular customers. For years the food has always tasted delicious and healthy. The food is always great, fresh, really well seasoned, and the atmosphere is nice. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the customer service is loved, though the employees could use some work with customer service. The lines are long at night but it goes really fast. The tacos are made at rocket speed to move the line along, but no 2 tacos are ever the same—one has 3 beans, one has too much rice, one is twice the size of the next—so it is sloppy at best. There is plenty of parking available, and the location is really convenient. It is a favorite location with favorite workers, and the staff could stand to teach other locations a thing or two.
