Nicola's Italian Restaurant

My niece and I stopped by this restaurant on a Wednesday night after spending the afternoon at the beach. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day!
The food was EXCELLENT - my niece had the chicken Parmesan and I enjoyed the salad with the lemon dressing and the eggplant rollatini.
Large portion sizes allowed us to enjoy leftovers the next day!
For dessert we had tiramisu and cannoli - both delicious but the tiramisu was out of this world good!
Customer service was A+. It truly felt like a family restaurant.
I can’t wait to visit again!!

We have been coming to Nicola's since they opened. The food is always consistent and very well made. They make their own pasta and desserts-YUM?!! We drive 45 minutes to come here so you know it's good!! You have to try the chocolate mousse covered cream puffs that is the best thing I've ever eaten!

Good food. I went there with my girlfriends for a birthday celebration and we all enjoyed our dishes. We had some garlic bread and bruschetta for appetizers and they were both delicious. I had the fettuccine in clam sauce, a glass of white wine, and some cannolis for dessert. The pasta is homemade and you can definitely taste it. The clam sauce was delicious and well seasoned. The cannolis were also very tasty and not overly sweet, which I prefer.

Our server was extremely sweet and knowledgeable. She took great care of our table and everyone was impressed by her promptness and kindness in making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and how we wanted.

The restaurant atmosphere is intimate without being intimidating. There were quite a few other tables with midsized groups but it didn’t feel crowded. Though it’s an Italian restaurant, I didn’t feel like I was in one. Maybe that’s their twist.

Awesome restaurant! We were visiting Wilmington and wanted Italian food. We scored finding this place! The food was delicious. We really appreciated the house-made pasta.. what a difference that makes with the texture and flavor of the pasta! The beef and mushroom risotto and bucatini were amazing. Our waitress Bella was one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Bella made our dinner experience and she was great with our kids.

Food was amazing! Wonderful family owned Italian restaurant with welcoming & kind staff. Went with my parents, who are from the Bronx and recently moved to NC. They’ve been looking for a NY-quality, family owned, makes-you-feel-like-family, Italian restaurant and this one is it. So glad we checked this place out. Will be coming back very soon! Food is delicious, flavorful. We got the veal parm, spicy shrimp & lobster special & pasta bowl with sausage, meat sauce & meatballs, absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! Thanks Nicola’s!!

Really pleasant, friendly service and great food. Didn’t book but had phoned and asked if they could accommodate a table for three, arrived and the reception had table ready for us, great start! Our server asked if we’d been before and gave us some info about the restaurant as first time visitors. We had mozzarella starters and three different main courses, all of which were excellent, chicken was cooked perfectly and risotto was delicious, pizza was just great too. Great wine list as well. Will definitely be back again. Loved it 😊

What an amazing first experience we had tonight! My wife and I live in Myrtle Beach, but our child lives here. We are staying at their place watching their pets while they are away. This place has been on our to try list for a while now and we finally had the opportunity. What an incredible experience! The food was outstanding! The flavor was on point and the servings were huge! My wife and I each had an amazing pasta dish and split the largest piece of coconut cake we have ever seen. Now, you would think after all that I just wrote that would be the best part of our experience, but it wasn’t! The absolute best part was one of the kindest people we have ever met, Bella! Let me tell you the meaning of her name fits in so many ways! She was absolutely incredible! So kind! So caring! I honestly could go on and on! She made my mine and my wife’s evening such a memorable night.
