Olympia is Greek food from a Greek family. Doesn't get much better than that. Wilmington has limited options for Greek food. Standard takeout Greek and then dining Greek. You will pay a lot at all other Greek dining options which ups the atmosphere but their food isn't going to beat Olympia. While the menu does have non-Greek options they aren't the stars of the menu. Service is spectacular, apps, seafood, and vegetarian dishes shine.
My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant! It has become our Friday night go to. We have tried pretty much everything from the menu and from the specials. We have never been disappointed. Our favorite dishes are the oyster appetizer, shrimp Santorini, and any of their lamb choices. We also feel like the meals are a very good value for the money. Is it really good food? YESIs it authentic Greek food? No. Not even close. A test I always use is; “Would I eat there again?” Yes, I would. However, I am Greek. My grandparents were from Greece and my mom cooked Greek dishes. So, this restaurant is really good but not having the flavors of authentic Greek cuisine.As a reference, there were three of us and we ate:spanakopita, dolmades, avgolemono, Chicken Athenian, tiropita, gyro.
