Food could have been better. Busy place with a decent atmosphere.

The perfect dining experience in Wilmington. They have a beautiful view overlooking the water. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were impressed. The hostesses were warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating. We had our little Yorkie with us, and they were more than gracious—walking us out to a lovely porch area with beautiful river views. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.

We started with the crab dip, which was absolutely luscious—creamy, flavorful, and something I would happily order again and again. For our entrée, we chose the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the dish had great flavor without being overly spicy, and it was incredibly satisfying.

To top it off, the Azalea Bloom cocktails were both gorgeous and refreshing—the perfect finish to a great dining experience. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re looking for a pet-friendly place with great food and views!

Honestly the food is very bland. For the price point you would think it would taste better. The service is pretty good however.

I don't know who the chef is here but he is worth his weight in gold. Also. Note a nice clientele. Very nice atmosphere and reasonable pricing. I will be back.

Great food - exceptional seafood, sandwiches, and salad. Love the crunch on the fry chicken sandwich! Friendly service!

My wife and I went to Pilot House for dinner and we were very disappointed. We've been there several times before and always had a good meal and we love the location along the river. We were surprised to see that they had a new menu, which is quite limited compared to their old menu. We shared a spinach and kale salad and it was good but not great. We both ordered the blackened redfish, which is hard to find away from the Gulf. Normally, blackened redfish has cajun spices but this fish was very bland. The skin on top of the fish was burned and inedible. The small slice of fish sat on top of a slab of bok choy that rested on rice that maybe had a few slivers of crab. But it was all drenched in a fish sauce that my wife described as tasting like old socks. I was able to eat the bland fish but nothing else. The waitress, who was delightful, was very apologetic and offered to bring us something but I had no faith that we'd get anything better so we left. So if you go, don't order the redfish as I see that other reviewers didn't like it either. Too bad because this used to be a nice restaurant but prices for a less than mediocre meal take it off our list.

Went for lunch a few times. Not crowded. Good food. Sit by the windows. Great, relaxing river views.

Hot crab dip is a necessary order as you look out at the river sipping a beer or cocktail. Huge lumps of crab scooped onto toasty bread. The sandwich had a sweet, tart hit of apple which went well with the melty Brie and thin slab of chicken. Chips were crunchy and lightly salted. Mac n cheese was creamy and satisfying. So much more to choose from, can't wait to explore more.

Food came out cold, over salted, and undercooked. Sent 8 shrimp back to be cooked and got 4 back. Plates and silverware for new table settings placed on seats. Crab cakes and chowder tasteless.
