Rooster & The Crow

Rooster & The Crow is a small spot, but it’s very cozy and welcoming. Since seating was limited, we sat at the bar, and it actually added to the charm of the experience. The food was delicious—especially the chicken wings, which were fried to absolute perfection. Easily some of the best wings I’ve had in Wilmington.

The loaded fries, however, could use a little improvement. They definitely needed more cheese and bacon bits to really live up to the “loaded” name. Still tasty, but just not as impressive as the wings.

What really stood out was the service. Our server was also working as a barista, and she absolutely killed it. She was attentive, kind, and kept our drinks topped off the entire time. Her energy and professionalism really elevated the whole experience.

Overall, Rooster & The Crow is a cozy little gem with fantastic wings, friendly service, and a great vibe. I’ll definitely be back.

The location is really cool and fun. It has a little arcade, gift shop and other things. I had chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, and gator bites. It was all very good.

I’m so annoyed because the food was absolutely delicious! But everything else was terrible. There was a 35 minute wait as it was, and they had an arcade, which was cute, but we spent a ton of money there while waiting. Then we got sat and waited a literal hour for the food. Our server Wes wasn’t attentive. We asked for lemons; never got the lemons. We asked for paper napkins; never got the napkins. We asked him after 45 minutes where our food was, and he said the table before us still hadn’t gotten their food (that part isn’t his fault, but it does show how long the wait was). When the food finally DID arrive, it was delicious. We joked that it was worth the wait, but honestly, it wasn’t. We parked our car at 6:30 and didn’t eat until 8:30. Definitely don’t go on a Friday night. They can’t keep up with the crowds.

Edited to add: there was a kid at our table. Couldn’t they at least have brought out his food? It was chicken fingers and fries!

What a great surprise! Our original dinner spot was closed, so we ended up at the Rooster and Crow—and I’m so glad we did. The service was excellent, and the food was even better. The fried chicken was hands down the best I’ve ever had, with collards and grits that were spot-on. My husband had the fried chicken with collards and potato salad, and his plate was just as good. Fantastic experience—we’ll definitely be back, and I’m already recommending it to friends!

We were so happy to have stopped in here on a rainy day with our dog! Everyone was so sweet to us and our pup, the food was delicious, well-priced, and had good proportions! It was a beautiful building with covered, dog friendly seating in the arboretum with cute shops around. Definitely would recommend.

Some of the best food in Wilmington! My wife and I love to come here on weekends for drinks and music at the cryptid den and then round out the evening at rooster and crow. Best fried chicken in Wilmington and best Mac and cheese I have EVER had. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy southern vibe with amazing food and atmosphere!

The place is cozy, and the ambiance makes it look spectacular. The first time I went there, the service was nice, I ordered to go since the apartment was right across the street, as it was a business trip. I ordered the Crow's Call with the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, and it was good. So I went the next day because I liked the place and I wouldn't have to walk around guessing for another place to eat. By the way, the girl who served me was very nice and attentive (I didn't ask her name, but the receipt said Abi) she recognized me and even remembered my name 👍🏼. This time, I ordered the loaded nachos and asked to add chicken, also to go. To my surprise, they didn't serve me the chicken, so unfortunately, I was left with half of the experience. Still, I think it's a good place to dine.

Really great brunch today for Mother's Day! It was our first time here. Glad we go there right at opening, food was worth the wait! Also great place to bring kids there is a lot of stuff you can do with them while you wait for your table and food!

Loved this place! Food was very good here. My wife had the shrimp and grits and while she would have liked a little more andouille sausage it was good. I had the fried chicken which was excellent. The grits were also excellent as well (I ended up eating my wife's as well as mine). My daughter got a grilled chicken sandwich made exactly to what she ordered. She liked it as well. Great atmosphere in the NEST which was a little quieter than the main area. We also waited in the Beergarten, which had a live band and was really fun. Really liked how the mall here is put together and all works in concert with one another. Didn't try the arcade, but will next time. Definitely recommend.
