First off, it's called the Bento Box Sushi Bar but you can only get bento boxes for lunch. Now, I agree, bento boxes are *mostly* eaten for lunch but if you're going to call yourself the BENTO BOX restaurant you should serve them at all times. We went in the past and each had a bento box and we loved it. It was great because you can get a variety of food at a decent price. But, to our surprise, we went again around 3pm and learned that was only for lunch. I ended up ordering the karaage chicken and it was the driest fried chicken I've ever had. I'm pretty sure it was WAY overcooked, or old, or both. The dipping sauce was honey, which is not typical. Worse than that, they served it with mashed potatoes??!!? I've been to Japan twice and I don't think I ever saw mashed potatoes, anywhere. My son ordered the Udon and Tempura. The amount of tempura on the plate was maddening. It was piled up on all sides. While most people would be happy to get a lot of food, it was honestly such a waste. The batter was not a typical tempura batter and among the vegetables was tempura GREEN ONION?? We've had the sushi in the past and it was great. Other than that, I don't know that I would order anything else.

Always love going to Bento Box! The servers are always, super friendly and welcoming, and the sushi it’s always so fresh and amazing! It’s our go to anytime we want an amazing sushi, they have the absolute fresh sushi and fish of anyone in the city!

Chicken was dry. Portions were small for the price. Spice overtook flavor on 3 separate dishes. Sushi was mid.

Best sushi in Wilmington! Frequent here regularly and love all the variety. Food is tremendous and atmosphere is great. Recommend sitting at the sushi bar!

The food and atmosphere were lovely. The sushi is some of the best you'll find in the area. The drinks are well mixed and delicious. The menu options are plentiful, so sushi is only part of the story.

Coming from California I was sad not having good sushi for the first few years we were here. After finding bento, it blows anything and everything out of the water compared to any other sushi place I’ve tried anywhere. Only place to get sushi !

Great sushi and atmosphere. Always busy, so be prepared for a short wait. I typically go spur of the moment, so I am unsure if they take reservations or not. For those that are not fond of sushi/sashimi, there many options to choose from. The Vietnamese Ginger Beef, Krispy Korean Chicken Wings and Pork Belly Lo Mein are fantastic. Meat ingredients are top notch - Heritage Farms pork, Organic chicken and beef tenderloin.

The sushi was great. Loved the unique combos. Super fresh. Lots to choose from. It is a tad loud in there but part of the charm.
