My family was visiting the area to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. I was searching for Halloween activities nearby and came across the Drag Me to Halloween Show at Felix Cafe. I surprised my daughter with tickets. We had the best time ever and it made me get mind off losing my best friend Oct. 30th of last year, she was only 50. She would have loved the show and enjoyed the wonderful food. We had the loaded fries and they are very good, also the staff was great! Will definitely visit again in the near future!

Went over a week ago; after lunch crowd waited over an hour & 15 minutes for food (one other table) few people in bar area. Never got silverware and napkins got them myself. The grilled chicken had no flavor; Philly cheese steak was nothing but grease dripping off the bread. Kids hamburger was burnt to crisp and old tater tots reheated . Our waitress even told us she yelled at the kitchen staff for being so slow. We have been there times before this and services was slow but not too bad. After this last experience we will not be back nor will We ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. The bathroom was a disgusting mess. I did attempt to reach out to them About my experience but was never contacted back. Will not got back nor will i ever recommend!

Wonderful place! Staff was friendly, food was fresh and delish, and the vibe is really fun. (The 300 gallon fresh water-fish tank and the charming parrot definitely add authenticity.) Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

We went to Felix cafe for the first time and had a great experience! we ordered the Felix burger and the build your own truffle Mac. They were both SO good! We also got the coconut cake...it was a huge slice, very moist and obviously homemade last but not least each got a hurricane cocktail, very nicely presented and strong our server Cassie was so nice, helpful and attentive! She gave great local recommendations and interesting conversations! She really made us feel at home! Definitely ask for Cassie when you come here!

Fun cafe tropical setting, very casual. They even have a noisy parrot in the back that lets you know he's there. Food is very good with options for vegans as well. You got to look for the location. Its tucked behind the Lowes Food Market on Carolina Beach Rd and the Walmart Plaza.

I do not recommended this place in the slightest. Actually avoid it. This review may be triggering to some. It involves experiences of sexual harassment, misogyny, and homophobic remarks. On my third night working here, behind the bar, one patron groped me. When I brought this to attention the owner, Felix, it was brushed aside. Returning to work the next day, the same patron, and his partner, we're in the establishment. When I was clocking in, they began to cat-call me from across the bar. When I went to tell Felix I was uncomfortable, the ENTIRE STAFF, got involved on the conversation. This made my sexual harassment experience even worse because it became everyone's business. We're they asked to leave? NO. I was asked to leave the bar and go serve. Over the course of a week. Many patrons of the establishment began to relay that Felix has been telling this story to them. Imagine walking into work everyday and having strangers come up to you...expressing their opinions on a private matter. I do want to relive that moment. But everyday I had to relieve it with a smile in hopes of getting a tip. Recently, the couple came back in and refused to leave. When I told Felix I was uncomfortable, he proceed to say, "I can't ask them to leave, they spend a lot of money here". I went home sobbing as my means for income was dependent on a work place that TOLERATES sexual harassment. Felix then asked bar patrons to TELL ME he kicked the couple out...after three weeks of sexual harassment. Felix clearly had no issues telling guests of his establishment my personal information regarding sexual harassment. I feel disgusted and ashamed. The following shift while closing the bar. Felix's partner and another employee started to sexualize me. I heard things such as "I am going to control him with his nose ring" and "he's going to take us out back and start wiping us". I had to relay to employees that this is a professional setting and I am not to be sexualized by them. I have also been called a s***t by another employee. Words such as "s***t" should never be used. PERIOD. Let alone in a place of work. No matter what anyone is wearing, what they are doing, or their demeanor....THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR IT. I can't even imagine what else goes on in that establishment. Felix and his partner have both shared with me their distrust for lesbians. I didn't even ask. They are misogynistic in every way possible & they are not afraid to share their revolting opinions on women. It's sickening this place makes money, it's run by a monster. I finally had the courage to text Felix and tell him I am no longer working due to sexual harassment. Did he tell the manager the next day? NOPE. I received multiple calls and text messages asking if I was coming in. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SEXIST AND UNSAFE WORKPLACE. The owner has no issues sharing his grievances with patrons, accepting money from abusers, and voicing terrible, homophobic, sexist, words. Avoid at all costs.
Had an incredible hamburger with bacon jam. Bun was best I've had in several years. Most don't last without falling apart before burger finished. Sweet potato waffle fries were yummy. Servers were great. Hubby loved his lobster bisque.

I loved this spot! It was so fun and transported me away from the regular world. I have always heard that the food was amazing but they have unusual hours and I am not out this direction a lot. Today I was, so I decided to give it a try. The exterior and interior are decorated with really fun themed mermaids and all things under the sea. There is a large aquarium that can keep the kiddos busy. The menu has so many creative things and most of it is super fattening but sounded delicious. Being that I eat healthy, I went with the veggie stuffed portobello mushroom over rice. The table next to me ordered bloody Mary's which looked unbelievable. They also ordered onion rings that made me drool. I started with a cup of lobster bisque and decided to save my meal for later. The bisque was good. Not great, but good. The portobello meal was really good. My server Kaleb was super attentive and friendly. I would like to bring my family here. It was great!
