The George on the Riverwalk Reviews
The staff is so rude!! I would not recommend!!
I was invited to a dinner party of 15 for a friend’s birthday on April 12, 2024. We were seated outside for a 7pm reservation. Everything was great at first! The drinks, appetizers & waitress. Then a gale wind starting blowing extremely hard, so we were no longer able to stay outside. The staff was bringing in and accommodating every other table that was outside, except ours. We were left standing inside with a constant back & forth with the manager (I did not get her name)...read full review

The George on the Riverwalk is a restaurant that offers a variety of dining options, including a St. George cocktail and a Fried Dill Pockle brined chicken breast with mashed potatoes and Cajun gravy, as well as a smoked bacon and pimento burger. Guests can enjoy the outdoor seating with nice views of the river, perfect for people watching. The enclosed patio provides a great way to feel outdoors without being too hot or cold, and many visitors have enjoyed the fantastic sunset views. The service is generally attentive and timely, with staff making diners feel well cared for, and a bartender named Gabby is often mentioned for being pleasant and attentive. The food presentation is regarded as great, and diners have enjoyed meals like clam chowder soup, lobster tail with mashed potatoes, and the delicious crème brûlée. Some customers noted that the soups were served semi-warm, which affected the flavor. The menu is diverse, featuring fun mixed drinks and a mocktail menu suitable for different dietary needs. The restaurant also offers seafood such as lobster ravioli with shrimp and scallops, and the atmosphere includes a view of a WWII battleship in the background. While parking is not free and there have been occasional comments about the hostess being rude, many visitors have had excellent dining experiences. Overall, many find it an ideal spot for various occasions, including celebrations like birthdays, with robust and full-flavored food and a pleasant environment.
