This place was great, awesome environment and bartenders who are friendly and help ya out right away. But my friend was made to feel uncomfortable by the bouncer Joey, so when I confronted him to ask what happened he freaked out, soon after came after me and my friend to kick us out the bar. Got within an inch from this girls face telling her to get the f* out and she’s just a stupid fat ugly b**. Yall that wasn’t even the girl who got uncomfortable. He was so angry he was going after a random girl who had nothing to do with the situation. Showed he was ready to get aggressive with anyone. Absolutely terrifying behavior and all women need to be careful of this man!
I have always loved the home town feel of Triangle Lounge but will not return after last night. The bartenders were rude and could not be bothered by us spending money to purchase drinks. One of the bartenders proceeded to slam the door in my friends face and when she asked him about it he laughed and responded “well”. When we ordered drinks and needed to add one more the bartender’s response was “so you meant to say 3.” I have never been treated this way and can’t understand why anyone would treat their patrons in this manner.

Can’t spend my money at a place that deducts unpaid tabs from bartenders paychecks. Archaic and irrational practice.
I hope your bartenders signed a prior authorization for those deductions and are receiving 7 days notice for every deduction as required by the NCDOL, Todd.

Locals hub for playing pool and late night drunkenness. If that's your thing, give it a go.Wouldn't suggest for non-locals but for locals.. maybe try it out.
Always chill and all fam at TRI

After opening one too many bottles the bartender tried to force my friend to pay for her mistake. As the owner of the tab I came inside to ask her not to put the beer that no one wanted, still sitting untouched on the bar, on my tab (I was the DD and my friend wasn't even drinking beer) which some how prompted the bouncer to grab my friend who had gone outside and throw him against the bar yelling that he needed to pay for his beer and get out. We left the bar while the bouncer yelled about an "over feminized society" that wouldn't allow him to "bloody us up". I'll stick to downtown from now on where bartenders own up to their mistakes and bouncers aren't quite as openly misogynistic.Recently edited for typos and clarity, I was pretty shaken up when I wrote this forever ago, Google just sent a notification that it’s reached 500 views.I hope the bouncer who behaved this way to a group of us nerdy 20 somethings out celebrating finishing a group project isn’t still there. He was annoyed that I (female) was handling what he saw as my male friends problem, wouldn’t acknowledge my presence as I tried to de escalate the situation and only wanted to yell at the boys, who were a mix of frozen and wide eyed or moving toward the car, about, his words, “the over pussification of men in this society” and how back in the day he’d be allowed to just take them out in the parking lot and beat them. All over a single bottle of beer that no one wanted. People who hold these views so strongly against women and the men who treat them as equals maybe shouldn’t be in the hospitality industry.
Comfortable neighborhood bar. Good staff.
local bar with good people.
It is so refreshing to have two bartenders that legitimately are charismatic and kind enough to make you want to come back. Tyler and Katie specifically are the reason this won’t be my last time back. A darn good place to stop indeed!
