The lo mein noodles were not good, sesame chicken decent but not very crispy. You can get better Chinese elsewhere for the money

We just had the shrimp with veggies combos for lunch -- so good! We've enjoyed takeout from Uncle Lim's Kitchen since they opened years ago. They make decent curry dishes as well as the standards of Chinese recipes too.
-- The owners are super nice and accommodating, substituting a spring roll for the pork egg roll and white rice for the pork fried rice in their combos to cater to my dietary needs. Nice special for September!

Everytime we come here we ordered alot, we can eat for a couple days. They still manage to bust the food quickly everytime. The food is made fresh and delicious, nothing sits and it is all made to your order.

Really high prices for the quality of the food. Can go to basically any other Asian restuarant in Wilmington at this price point and get better food. The guy at the cash register was nice, though

The fried rice is a little bland and undercooked. The other dishes we had were good. Typical Chinese menu and flavors.

We especially enjoyed the Soy Peking Ribs.. verry tasty. The egg rolls were delicious too. The shrimp with vegetables had tons of fresh veg but needed some more spice flavors. Uncle Lim and his family are very friendly and give personal service! It's a clean and quiet atmosphere. Thank you, we shall return!!
So many choices! We tried the vegan duck, the vegetable lo mein with soy protein, and the Home Style Bean Curd. They were all great. Generous portions and very reasonably priced entrees.
I hesitated ordering from here, due to the reviews saying food was not good/overcooked. I should have listened.
$30 for orange chicken and noodles that were both extremely overcooked and tasted horrible. My boyfriend liked his Thai curry okay, but you can get much better quality and quantity at Indochine for the same price.
Guy on the phone who took order was not very nice, didn’t even get our name/phone for the order before hanging up.
Sadly going to be my first and last time here.
I use to live here in Wilmington and Uncle Lims was our favorite Chinese takeout because the quality of the good was better than most. Just came back to visit and was looking forward to this meal. My wife ordered something that was suppose to be spicy and savory but was extremely sweet for some reason. My Gen Tso was way over cooked. To the point it was like rubber. The fried rice, which we paid extra for, was just white rice with a yellow tinge. Wont order here again, must be nee management cutting costs.
This is a good family owned Chinese restaurant. The owners, the Lims' are really nice and take effort with their food and service. There was little to no wait ordering and receiving the food. I enjoyed the Orange and General Tso's chicken.

I have no idea why I didn't pay attention to the bad reviews of this place... I guess I really wanted to treat myself to some delicious Chinese food, but Uncle Lim’s had other plans. The basil fried rice was SO bland, I thought I’d lost my taste buds for a second. The sesame chicken was more ‘chewy chicken-ish surprise’ and only good if you like playing ‘find the veins’ in your meat- Gross!
The crab rangoon was basically an empty shell of its former self, and the phat thai must have left its seasoning in another kitchen. I came hungry, and I left…well, still hungry. I didn't even get to have fun reading a fortune cookie :( The girl behind the counter said that they're too expensive so they don't give them out anymore. Ugh. Uncle Lim, if I could give you a fortune cookie, it would say "Try using some spices in your food!"

Uncle Lim’s Kitchen stands out as the best Chinese restaurant in Wilmington. Their commitment to using local produce ensures every dish is incredibly fresh. The vegan and vegetarian options are extensive, and they take extra care by preparing the vegan dishes separately to avoid any cross-contamination. Many of the non-vegetarian dishes can also be made vegan upon request, and their mock meats are absolutely delicious!
Vegetarian options: All vegetarian are vegan - non dairy and mock meats
