Great beer, the screaming kids running around make the experience not enjoyable. Please have kids free nights here!
Grapefruit gose should be a flagship - so good. Chill spot. Patio is partially covered, good place to enjoy a rainy day
Awesome place. Friendly atmosphere. Good beers
6/30/26: Wilmington Brewing Company was a great stop during our trip to Wilmington and is definitely worth checking out if you’re a craft beer fan. The brewery has a laid-back atmosphere, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and a welcoming vibe that made it easy to spend a couple of hours there.
The bartender was one of the highlights of the visit. He was very knowledgeable about the beer list, offered recommendations based on what we liked, and shared information about the local craft beer scene.
I ended up ordering the Sup Brau Pilsner, which was crisp, refreshing, and an easy-drinking beer perfect for a warm summer afternoon. My favorite of the day, though, was the Tropical Lightning West Coast IPA. It had great citrus and tropical notes while still delivering the clean, hoppy finish you’d expect from a West Coast IPA.
One thing I really liked was that Wilmington Brewing regularly hosts collaborations and food pop-ups. During our visit, Cousins Coal Fired Pizza was serving food outside, and it paired perfectly with the beer. The pizza came out quickly, and the service was friendly and efficient.
Whether you want to relax inside, play some of the games they have available, or enjoy a beer on the outdoor patio, there’s something for everyone. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Wilmington area looking for quality local beer and a fun atmosphere.
Great beer but service behind the bar could be a little better. We walked in and waited almost five minutes on Thursday afternoon so the bar tender could finish her conversation with someone sitting at the bar and then unfortunately rudely served us with short answers and then went back over to continue the conversation. If it wasn't for the beer we wouldn't be coming back.
A great place to meet friends and enjoy a beverage!
Awesome vibes and amazing staff. Super family and dog friendly. Recommend keeping untrained puppies, that try to bite and bark incessantly, at an outside table, or at least in a collar they don’t easily slip out of.
I personally had one hell of a terrible experience here, won't be back and certainly would never recommend. Bartenders seem to be in lala land watching sports on TV and overlooked me both times I was waiting my turn for a drink, picking a dude that just straight up walked up, and then a girl they clearly knew. I had my 6 month old puppy with me which is why I came here at all, and drove from Raleigh for the weekend. The crowd there seemed unfriendly and agitated to me too, like the entire scene was just pretty unsettling honestly. Just go somewhere else.
I really like Wilmington Brewery but having a dog at the bar and the dogs water dish on the bar has got to be beyond the health code. The dog was licking the bar. We were sitting away from the bar by ourselves but the dogs owner felt the need to bring their dog over to us. I’m not sure what is worse. Having a childs birthday party at a brewery or a dog at the bar.
Wilmington Brewing Company — Raider Review
It’s been eight years since my last visit, and the beer is just as good as I remembered. The location and ambience have only improved, making it an even better spot to relax. Great place to pop in with a buddy or bring the whole family — pet friendly, too. Won’t wait another eight years to come back. Highly recommended.

Cool little brewery that make their own beers and market it locally. Was looking for a hazy IPA, and they had one that is a double ABV: Kitten Biscuit. It was very enjoyable and did not have the aftertaste like many of the hazy IPAs do. Outside seating available. Dog friendly. Highly recommend.
Great venue, nice lazy back porch for relaxing. Don't know enough of their beers yet, but kitten biscuit is def a keeper.
While we enjoy the venue and the beers, we thought we were in Chucky Cheese! Children to adult ratio was about 3 to 1. We were just looking to hang out with our dogs and play a board game. Unfortunately, we left pretty quick because we couldn't take the screaming and running around crazy unsupervised kids.
Best IPA in town
Luv the place.. wide open, lots of room, dog friendly and.. GREAT BEER
