I have been ordering slices from Burke Street Pizza since 2008. It’s my go to for slices! Hugo has been around for a while and it’s always good to see his familiar face. If you want good quality pizza at a great price this is your spot!Parking: Small lot on side of building. Street parking when it’s not too busy in the area.
The pizza was great … I suggest u get one slice because two might as well be half a whole pizza ? the workers were happily and great vibes… cant wait to make another retro game trip so i can stop for a slice again.
Place was nice and cozy. And staff were super welcoming and nice at all times.

Update: Owner lied and said I was with a former employee (like that make the disrespect ok). I didn’t. Nor did I beg for wings, I ordered two slices and paid in cash to make it easy as possible on your employees. In reality I came in with my girlfriend who’s from out of state and has never even ate or seen this shop. Which by the way is the reason why I left my review because of how uncomfortable they made her feel. Play the cameras back one more time and hear in when your middle aged Caucasian employee yelled out how he wants to go home. Then watch out for the part where I had to walk around the huge puddle of mop water at the entrance. (With no wet floor sign out) That was me. You were in the shop at the time and didn’t care. But now that I spoke up on the internet it’s important?PIZZA WAS MID. Employees are rude. Do be fooled by these generous reviews, beware that if you try to support this pizza shop after 8 (2 hours before closing) you will experience the worst service. Doesn’t matter if you make it easy on the employees by simply ordering two slices of pizza that they just have to heat up, they will be highly disrespectful regardless. Examples: side eyeing you at the cashier like you aren’t even there, THROWING buckets of water to mop the entrance while 3 other customers are still in the shop, throwing pizza pans out front where the customers are waiting for their orders, yelling how they want to go home loud enough for the customers to hear, and don’t even bother having manners here. All your thank yous will be ignored, it’s almost like the whole staff is going through with withdraws.

My favorite NY style pizza in the Triad. The staff are friendly and polite. I've been ordering pizza from Burke Street for a long time. I've only had two minor issues with deliveries in the ten+ years in which I have lived nearby and they were outstanding in making it right both times. "Shout out to Hugo, thank you Sir".

It is important to preface this review with the disclosure that I take pizza very seriously. All pies are not equal. A pizza while having pretty simple ingredients, is difficult to produce a high quality product. Mistakes are made in the ingredients, the processing and baking. The pizza at Burke Street is better than Domino's but is only OK. They produce a lot of pies and that causes quality to suffer. I will continue to buy pies here because my options are limited in central North Carolina. The bar for top pie shop is pretty low in this area. I can only assume it is the client base unwilling to pay for a better product.
The pizza is the best I've ever
