I am disappointed in the service and quality of Camino Bakery. I have worked at WFBH for 2 years and do enjoy the food however, my drinks have often been made wrong and the staff is rude. I have worked at coffee shops before, and understand that it can be hectic at times but I have felt unwelcome and belittled when coming here.

I ordered a small latte and was curtly informed by the cashier that I could get a cappuccino or flat white. I informed him that a flat white was fine but with no foam - by the time I walk from Camino to my office, the foam dissipates and I'm left with half a drink. I also don't enjoy foam on drinks. The cashier appeared annoyed by this request but finished my order. When receiving my drink, I noticed there was foam on the drink. I informed the barista who then was short and rude as she shared that a flat white normally has a layer of foam. I explained that I had requested no foam - then both the barista and cashier were condescending, further explaining that a flat white has foam. The barista huffed and rolled her eyes as she offered a remake without foam. I declined the remake as I felt embarrassed at this point. Again, I can understand the pressure when it is busy but come from a place of kindness when assisting someone with their order.

In all honesty, the baristas at the hospital Starbucks are a LOT more friendly and in my opinion, the drinks are better for the price.

Best coffee within 30 minutes walk. The perfect spot to unwind a little bit while you’re at the hospital.

Great little bakery and coffee shop here at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. It's located on the ground floor across from Chic Fil A and right down from Subway and mail services. The staff is friendly. They have great vegan and gluten free options, although I don't have any restrictions personally. I've had their quiche a few different times and really enjoyed it.I normally get the regular drip but this time got the dirty chai latte hot with 2 shots of espresso. Very delicious and the espresso helped with the afternoon energy slump. They have a handful of yummy treats to choose from. My favorite (an actually the one I've eaten almost exclusively) is the ginger molasses cookie. SO good! Also popular, so it's hit or miss with availability. There is a smallish lounge area with about 8 or 10 tables (guessing by memory). They recently added the privacy glass/covering so that all the passerby's won't be in ya' bidness. lol

Every time I come in here, the staff is welcoming and kind. Their baked goods & food are fresh and delicious. They change their specials seasonally and I can always find something new to try. My personal recommendation - iced matcha & the caprese sandwich with heirloom tomatoes!
