I've walked by this place a few times and just today decided to stop in. While unassuming from the outside, I was FLOORED by the inside! An incredible beer and wine selection, both local and imported on both counts, but that's really just the beginning. There were also respectable cider, mead, sake, and fortified wine sections as well! The fortified wine section particularly impressed me, small as it was, as it seemed to cater to all tastes: vermouths for all budgets and even wine-based amari like Cardamaro and others! I was very impressed. We really just looked around but we were asked by the employee if he could help with anything shortly after arriving. I did, however, overhear him help another customer when they asked about a product and this guy CLEARLY knew his stuff. Seems like the kind of place you can go in, tell them what you like, and walk out with a slam dunk recommendation. Oh, I almost forgot to mention a whole section of brewing supplies/parts and a very cozy taproom I look forward to enjoying!

We drive all the way from Advance into WS to go here. Owner has ordered two different requests and stocked them for me without prepayment or anything...just catering to what customers want and being flexible like only a small business can. Prices are fair and customer service incredible; you can't beat it.

City Beverage is my go-to bottle shop for Belgian ales and some limited-release NC beers. Their taproom draft selection is always thoughtful, and is dog friendly. Great place to hang and try something new. I love when they post their new arrivals on Instagram -- hopefully they start doing that more often.
