I attended a private party and Eastern Standard couldn't have been a more perfect location. The beautiful decor, the attentive staff and the wonderfullly crafted cocktails made for an amazing evening,

I’ve enjoyed Eastern Standard a few times but our most recent visit was for a birthday celebration. The service from Cherry, Bob, and equally delightful bartender whose name escapes me really helped make the experience. It is classy and elegant but also very approachable. If you appreciate traditional mixed drinks or want to experience them, this is your place. The bartenders are legitimate bartenders who know their craft and execute well. Not that there isn’t also a thorough wine selection.Mixed nuts! Warm, seasoned, mixed nuts! They’re delicious and I’m not really a mixed nut person. The charcuterie is always impressive. The pimiento cheese is delightful as well. They have also truly nailed the aesthetic. It’s a beautiful place to feel beautiful.I’ll add that while there is dress code and security, it does not seem to be about gatekeeping or limiting minority patrons but actually about maintaining the elevated and elegant experience. So few places can manage that.Would recommend.

Went to this bar for the first time this past weekend. It had a lovely interior and was nicely decorated. I went to the bar to get a drink and was standing there waiting and a girl came up to me and asked, "What are you doing?" And I said waiting to order a drink and she said okay. She then talked to some of the people behind the bar but I still had to wait for two people to ask me if I wanted a drink. It seems they are a little lacking in customer service. Will give them a try later to see if they have improved.

Lovely environment, an extremely nice place for a glass, or a bottle of wine. Staff is attentive, and everything is clean.

Cozy, comfortable atmosphere. The roasted nuts and warm pimento cheese dip were delicious. Both are made fresh on site. Wide selection of wines, beer and spirits and not your every day find. We met the owner who was more than accommodating. Highly recommend if you are looking to sit. back and have a glass and relax.

I may be a little biased as the owner, David, has been a friend since childhood, but the ambience is great, service is top notch, and the bartenders really know their drinks. Decor is high-end, but the atmosphere is relaxed. This is our go-to whenever we are in town. Cheers.

Went on 2/14, will make a long story short. At 7:50 pm, after about a 10 minute wait to get some drinks at the bar, a very rude lady who said was "the manager" and was cleaning glasses told me kitchen was closed and I had to wait for one of the 2 bartenders to assist me. When I finally got my drinks the bartending lady blew over the burnt marshmallow of my wife's strawberry fields cocktail.... Hello! you don't blow on top of drinks, not even before COVID. She also took forever to mix my old fashioned. There was a gentleman in a coat, don't know if it was the owner, who was just chatting with some people and pretending to be working instead of helping the bar staff. Also one guy that was some sort of busboy/security who will not even have the courtesy to look at you and see if he could help. This is just another of those newer WS wannabe upscale bars that ends up being everything but. Glad there are at least 4 better options to get a drink within walking distance.

IMMACULATE! Vibes 10/10, cocktail waitress Lillian 10/10, management (really wish I remembered a name!) 100/10. This bar PRIORITIZES WOMEN’S SAFETY! A few months back there was an incident waiting to happen but I cannot stress how PROACTIVE the manager was. She was aware of everyone’s surroundings despite the busy night and took immediate action to keep my friends and I safe. Beyond that both the manager and Lillian were the most kind hearted, fun loving women throughout the entire night (all while keeping the best of professionalism.) Truly the most personable service I’ve received at any of the bars downtown. LOVE!

Check out live jazz here the first and third Monday of the month. They also have great cocktails and a extensive wine and beer menu.

I’ve been coming to this place since the first night it opened and I’ve yet to have a bad experience. Everyone is great from the owner to the manager and the rest of the staff. Cocktails are always delicious and well made. It’s very quickly become a favorite spot in Winston and with a lot to choose from in the triad that’s not something that happens just because. Really happy to have this place in town!
