Always great service and excellent food- we like the specials and the atmosphere. Will eat here again and again.

Very good burger. Lots of fry and topping options. Onion rings were good but not a typical onion ring. More crispy and had red onions in them. They didn't skip on the toppings. Glad we made a detour and found this spot.

I just ordered takeout from here. I'd been once before and really liked it. But to get home and have my husband find not just a hair but a HAIRBALL in his food made us both pretty ill.

Hops Burger Bar. Where do I begin. Hops is the best burger in WSNC hands down. I ordered the Spicy Goat and it was incredible. For my side I had the buffalo fries and for my drink I had a Dos Equis beer. Everything was wonderful. I would have given Hops 5 stars but the ambiance was not my favorite. It was super crowded inside and you felt like you were on top of the people around you. It was also super loud and that made it hard to talk to the people at my table. Also parking is very limited so plan accordingly. Will be back to Hops very soon!

We visited the restaurant pre-pandemic since it was so close but we strictly do take-out now. The food is so good that it is always packed but once it is packed, the atmosphere is unbearable. The echo is so bad that I could not hear the person sitting across from me. I could not hear the server, so we had to point to the items on the menu. The burgers are amazing so we do order from there regularly but we cannot come back until the acoustics problem is fixed.

My favorite burger place! I love some goat cheese and pepper jelly and this place has a great spicy goat burger. Coupled with fried and their terrific honey mustard, an unbeatable menu. One down side is the wait time and booking. No reservation or online waitlist so you have to physically be there to place your name down.

I think it's well-documented how awesome the burgers are here, but their tuna is underrated. One of the best tuna sandwiches you can get in the triad. Great food, great atmosphere.

I went to Hops on recommendation from Our State Magazine where it had been featured in the burger issue. Honestly, I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. It was pretty crowded so the parking options were limited but there was no wait. There was a pretty wide selection of burger options on the menu but I decided to give the Hops Classic a try. I can be picky when it comes to burgers but was this was one of the most flavorful burgers I've ever had. I paired the classic with their garlic and rosemary fries which made for the perfect simplistic combo. I'm already looking forward to my next trip.

I have been traveling to Winston for work and trying the local haunts. I've been told for a while the best burger is at Hops. Finally got around to trying it and wasn't disappointed! I ate at the bar, service was so so, but the burger made up for any shortcomings. I started with an order of Fried Cauliflower. Nice start, something different. I ordered the Diablo Burger and fries. Burger was awesome! I like spice, but like a good burger. Was afraid the spice might overwhelm and not let me really taste the burger but it was the perfect balance. Would highly recommend! I'll definitely be back.

6/11/22- After attending a WS Dash game with my daughter she decided she wanted burgers- with restaurants in the area closing soon it was great Hops was 5 minutes away. During the summer I'm a huge fan of outdoor seating and we were lucky to get a table very quickly. I knew as soon as I looked at the menu I wanted the Crab Cake Balls- so much so that I ordered two so I wouldn't have to share. I'm glad I made this decision because my daughter really liked them too so 5 wouldn't have worked for us. The sauce was so good and I even took some home; very surprising from a place we visited specifically for burgers. Now to the burgers! Not sure what crossed my mind besides the fact ordering out of pure hunger is dangerous but we both had 12oz! Had no idea they would be this huge! North Carolinian for my daughter and she was more than pleased because this thing comes loaded with bacon! I ordered The Spicy Goat and it didn't disappoint either. Con- I do wish there were more non alcoholic drink choices

1st time trying Hops and it was pretty good. Lots of choices for burgers. There are some apps and other meal options but definitely a burger joint. We had the onuon rings which are light battered and the fries with poutine also pretty good. I had the bison burger build your own with parmesan truffle fries and my husband had the Hops traditional cheeseburger with slaw. Hubby slaw was lil dry but still good.

I would've previously given this place 5 stars until our most recent visit. The hostess was...well, just plain mean...I do not know how else to describe her attitude...to my husband who has a disability and asked for a small accommodation. I'm very protective over him, so of course I stepped in, and thus our evening just did not go as planned. In the end, it wasn't even about the parking or seating, simply the immaturity and unprofessional behavior. The waitress was good so we stayed, as I knew it would be my last burger from there. We will not be returning, unfortunately.

I was craving a burger with pimento cheese and wanted to sit outside so I decided to try Hops. My server greeted me immediately after being seated . I created my own burger which was was really simple....6oz patty cooked medium with pimento cheese, caramelized onions and fries as my side. Everything was perfect! I enjoyed every bit of it. I don't drink beer so I ordered a Bourbon Smash (Makers Mark + Peach Schnapps) My drink was delish and refreshing. If your craving a burger, beer and cocktails, I would definitely recommend Hops!

The burgers at this place are so good! The spicy goat is my go to. Definitely recommend getting that one and the goat cheese balls as appetizers. Add a good beer to the combo and it is game over…

We came here about 4pm on a Friday evening. My wife picked this place as she was checking Yelp and thought it would be something we would like. It was not very busy when we arrived and we decided to have a seat at the bar. We were promptly provided menus and water. As we checked out the menu we were impressed with all the different burgers you could order and they come in three sizes, 6oz, 8oz and 12oz. We saw the Carolina Red Onion Rings appetizer and decided we had to try those first! They also have other interesting appetizers, a build your own burger option, a few other sandwiches and a few salads. We placed our entrée orders shortly after. My wife chose the 6oz North Carolinian burger which comes with a fried egg, applewood bacon, pimento cheese, fried green tomato and lettuce. She decided to get it with no bun and for her side she chose garlic and rosemary fries. I was anxious to try the Cuban Cow on a pretzel bun. It includes grilled ham, Carolina pulled pork, Swiss cheese, bourbon marinated pickles and lime-dijon aioli. I ordered it without the pickles and aioli. for my side I chose the poutine fries which include French onion gravy, fontina cheese and green onion. Our onion rings arrived and looked amazing. We dug in right away because we were hungry and they were gone in no time. Our burgers and fries arrived shortly afterwards and looked incredible as well. We both really enjoyed the burgers and appreciated the creativeness with the burger options and felt they were cooked perfectly. My wife wasn't a huge fan of the garlic and rosemary fries but honestly by the time she got to them she was stuffed. You can tell this is a popular local restaurant because as we were leaving about 5pm, it was getting very busy. We highly recommend to others!!
