“We had an amazing experience at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The cocktail tasted fresh. The service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. We even brought our little one she is two and quite a picky eater and cleared her plate. We will definitely be coming back to this establishment. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.“

We started off with the lamb meatballs. Tender and succulent, they were bathed in a rich, aromatic sauce that perfectly balanced spice and sweetness. The black bass paturi was another standout, the delicate fish ( excluding being wrapped in banana leaves ) cooked to perfection. The mutton rezala was another standout dish.. hearty and flavorful, that showcased the restaurant's expertise in slow-cooked meats.
Beyond the exceptional food, Oh Calcutta's service was impeccable. The owner Mr Gopal had a friendly demeanor and attentive staff who was Alex made us feel right at home. If you're seeking a truly authentic Indian dining experience in Winston-Salem, Oh Calcutta is a must-visit.“

“I had the vegetable samosas, gobi manchurian, roti, and vegetable coconut curry- they all were delicious! Can’t wait to come back! They indicate vegan options on the dinner menu. Just a heads up- there are multiple entree options labeled vegan on the lunch menu, but the waiter told me only three are actually vegan: the curry, coconut curry, and tadka. “I’ve been eating here for more than 15 years and it’s still my favorite Indian food in Winston. Their Tikka Masala is amazing but I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t like.I also love the grocery store and their huge selection of incense.“
