This is by far the BEST Jamaican food I've ever had. Not just in Winston Salem but ever! Everything is seasoned to perfection, perfect spice for me very authentic flavors. I had the oxtail plates, I ordered through door dash, food was still steaming hot close to closing time at that I ordered a side of Mac and cheese and they ran out, I received a call from the owner letting me know the Mac had sold out but he was very nice and replaced the Mac & cheese with extra oxtail....
I moved to Winston just a few months ago, and tried this place out for the first time. Hands down the best food I’ve had out here so far! The curry chicken was amazing, and the guy working was super friendly!
The 2nd Jamaican food truck I encountered in a week in Winston Salem. The first one was disappointing! Island vibes more than made up for that disappointment. I had the Oxtail dinner with rice and beans and Cabbage. The Aroma alone had me salivating. I don’t care much for Cabbage, but this guys Cabbage was well seasoned and fun to eat. The Oxtails were tender and the rice and beans was rich in flavor. The guy was so sure about how good his food was that he urged me to taste...
