Brought my fiancée here for her birthday. The food was great, the chef was great, we were seated quickly.
When we got our soups and salads we were given disposable spoons, but the group beside us were given the normal soup spoons. We were told that it was either be given these spoons or have cold soup, which I thought was kind of a rude response. But other than that, most everything was great.
Ignore all of the other "hater" comments. This restaurant was amazing! The staff are attentive, funny and genuine. The food is abundant and superb! I would highly recommend this to anyone for an ultimate dining experience.
My family has been going to Kanpai since it opened. The food is extremely good and the food is always consistent. I was so sorry to hear about Chris passing away. Over the years; Chris and I were on first name bases and that was us living in Mount Airy. So if you've never been to Kanpai' give it a try, you want be disappointed.
