Absolutely the most terrible place I’ve ever been to in a long time.I have been in the restaurant industry for years and never have I experienced such disrespect and frankly lack of care for their customers. If you want crab legs please go to the neighboring seafood restaurant red crab. They value their customers. I spoke with lakisha the so called appointed general manager and she was just as disrespect as the manager the night we were there. She informed me her hands were tied. And it just is what it is. They falsely advertise their specials and will not honor what is clearly written on the specials board sitting directly up front. Kings crab and oyster bar has lost our business but from the conversation with the “general manager” their customers are just a number.

Rainy Friday afternoon. Should it be this dead? Server was friendly and welcoming until I got my order. Then he just went off about his business and completely ignored me. "Crab cakes are the best in town." Doesn't say much for the town. They were just ok, not great. Remoulade for them is delicious. Pound of crab legs was three full clusters. Average size. One had soft, juicy and delicious meat as it smoothly slid out of the legs. I got settled in for one of my favorite meals.... But.... The other two were either freezer burnt or soaked too long in water that hadn't come to a boil yet. Meat was dried up, impossible to remove and not tasty.I'm the only one here! Do I really have to ask for my bill?!Save your money and try something else. Better yet, go somewhere else entirely, The place is boring. If it were better food and music, the prices would be justified. Unfortunately, it's not.Update: About an hour later and i'm not feeling too good....

The place was dead, we were one of 4 people eating and my very expensive crab dinner sat in the window sooo long that my food was cold!!! The bartender/waitress told me I was wrong and that it wasn't up there that long! That ended that, canceled my $60 crab order and left shortly thereafter. Never going back! The sad part is we used to love king crabs downtown. It was our favorite place to go and then they closed it And open this poor excuse of a restaurant. Btw....limes go with Landshark!!!

Late lunch with 4 people. Waitress was super pleasant but just a tad slow with checking in from time to time. Seafood was fresh and prepared well. Raw oysters, shrimp saute, salads, and a few other things I'm not remembering at the moment. Good value for the money. I will return.

HEY LADY WITH THE FAKE LONG HAIR BRAIDS DOWN YOUR BACK, REMEMBER ME I WALKED IN TO GET SEATED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND YOU WERE TELLING AT ME FROM YOUR FRONT DOOR TO THE WALL END OF YOUR RESTAURANT!!! You were yelling at me, asking me how can you help me, as opposed to professionally, formally, with hospitality, and Welcoming, approaching me 10 foot rule of course in mind, you Literally Spoiled my Appetite, you remember telling me yelling, you can sit there and pointing having me to question, "where?" . Lady that was so embarrassing, the two Caucasian women that were sitting at the high back chairs by the door as you walk in, apologized for you, lady your position is more fitting in a jail or prison cafeteria. You had me look better going then I did coming, I walked out. Quality Customer Service is Paramount!!

My wife and I were seated at a table that was directly under a overhead fan that was on high speed when the outside temp was down in the 40's so it wasn't hot inside the restaurant we ask if the fan could be slowed down or cut off or if we could move to another table and we're told no by our waitress she said the other tables were for larger groups so we ordered our food and waited when our food came they had seated two parties of two people at those tables they had told us were reserved for larger parties so they had lied to us about that and could have moved us away from the gale force fan that was blowing down on us and couldn't be cut off, when our food came the fan made it so cold so fast we ended up having to box our food to go and leave for a warmer location ....our home. The food was good when reheated but I'll NEVER patronize Kings Crab Shack again !!!!!!!!!!!

Food was ok. My fiancee found a non-food item in her plate. She ordered King crab and shrimp. Found a BB sized object that the waitress and manager claimed was a pearl. It IS NOT a pearl. It's some type of metal bead or ball bearing. Our party of 4 spent over $300 for this experience at King's Crab Shack. What if she had bitten down on the metal fragment and broke a tooth? The menu says keep a lookout for the pearls in their oysters. I suggest B.O.L.O. for foreign objects in your food there, PERIOD!

I went with my husband to check out a wood working shop. We decided to try Kings Crab next door. I thought the restaurant looked a little cheesy from the street. I wasn't really expecting great food. We sat at the bar, our waitress was awesome. I had the scallops. My husband had fish and chips. I was really surprised when my meal hit the table. My platter was full of food and it all looked so good! On one side was a generous portion of coleslaw, which was so good. In the middle, there were steamed potatoes that were equally yummy and circling the plate were large, beautifully cooked scallops. My husband really liked his fish and chips. We couldn't wait to go back. However, our next experience was much different. We sat at a booth. It took a while for us to get a menu and even drinks. My husband and I both ordered the scallops. When the food came out, it didn't even resemble the same meal that I had ordered before. They gave me very little coleslaw and honestly it did not taste fresh. Whereas my scallops were beautifully plated before, these scallops were small, some of them were broke, apart, and look like they had just been thrown on the plate. Everything looked like it had just been thrown on the plate. The portions were definitely smaller. Our waiter never asked us if we wanted a refill for our drinks or asked us how our meal was? I was really disappointed. I want to give this establishment another chance, but at the same time, I really don't feel like dishing out bigger bucks for seafood, just to be disappointed again. Consistency is huge!

Awesome little restaurant with fresh seafood. The appetizeres were delicious, had the mussels and scallops. And a dozen oysters. Main course was the "Low Country Boil". Recommended.
