This is my favorite restaurant in Kernersville with no question about it! The food is always incredible, the staff is so friendly and I eat from here at least 1-2 times a week. Every dish Ive tried is delicious as well, its never a miss.
Their delivery is also great as they dont skip on portions like many restaurants do for take out and delivery.
I highly recommend Monte De Rey to anyone in the area
Ordered taco salad.. the meat was very salty and cold … I asked if chips and salsa came with it ??? Lady said yes .. when they brought out to me she said “oh no cause you order just one “ I would have ordered them had I not asked if they come with it !! I won’t go back !!
I went to place a To-Go order at the Kernersville location. I ordered a guacamole regional and a large salsa but only got one bag of chips. When I asked for another bag the gentleman proceeded to argue with me and said the large salsa doesn’t typically come with chips.. he asked if I “understood” and I told him “No, I don’t understand. You want me to eat the salsa with a spoon?” He did end up giving me another bag and I thanked him, however he did not need to argue...read full review

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the servers are kind-hearted, providing complimentary desserts like strawberry sopapilla bites. Guests have enjoyed dishes like the steak & shrimp, onion and cheese fajita plate, and the Quesabirria, while also appreciating the extensive menu and various salsas available.
