Many of my friends have hyped Mozelle's up, so I'm a bit disappointed about my experience for dinner. I would definitely come back for brunch which seems to be a more popular time to go and to give them a second chance. Customer service was overall very nice and good. My partner and I came for an anniversary and was sad about the quality of the food. We had reservations so seating/wait wasn't an issue. The interior and exterior decoration were beautiful, the lighting was very romantic. I got the mushroom pasta with chicken ($26) and was VERY disappointed. The pasta was al dente but the chicken was very dry and the parmesan cream and roasted mushrooms were both very underwhelming. I was expecting something similar to my very favorite and flavorful mushroom pasta from the Cheesecake Factory (Da Vinci pasta, which is more affordable) which may be my fault. My partner got the fried chicken ($21) which was also very underwhelming. The chicken was well fried and decently seasoned and the peach chutney was a nice addition. The mac and cheese was too salty for our preference and the green beans were... green beans. We opted to not order dessert.

INTRO: Mozelle's Southern Bistro is an extremely well-known restaurant in Winston Salem. I was excited to try this new restaurant since I've heard so many good things about it. When I was walking to the restaurant, I was surprised to see how beautifully decorated the restaurant was. The outdoor seating was well lit with fairy lights, and everything was in white, from the tables to the chairs. The interior is equally as beautifully decorated, and they're able to maximize their seating arrangements in such a small space. The open kitchen also allows for customers to enjoy the wonderful aroma as they wait for their foods. ENTREE 1: $26 Mushroom pasta w/ chicken (parmesan cream, roasted local mushrooms, crispy sage) - I was honestly disappointed with this dish. The chicken was extremely dry, and the pasta had a little to no flavor. The pasta sauce barely had any flavor as well. I did not feel like this dish was worth $26. I've had better pasta at the Cheesecake Factory for a much cheaper price. And honestly I've made better pasta at home. ENTREE 2: $21 Fried chicken (boneless springer mountain chicken breast, mac + cheese, green beans + peach chutney) - This dish was a miss for me as well. The best thing about this meal was the peach chutney. The chicken was extremely dry and the mac & cheese barely had any flavor. I was extremely disappointed. WORTH IT? Not really, I wouldn't come back here again unless something changes about their food, and the total cost of this meal set me back over $65. OVERALL? Although the restaurant is beautifully decorated there and is a fantastic date spot, their decoration does not make up for the lack of flavor and the dryness of their food. I've heard so many great things about this restaurant, so I had very high hopes but was unfortunately let down. Perhaps they were having a bad day, but I wouldn't risk another meal here for their price point.

I had a nice brunch in downtown Winston with the girls and a good friend today @mozelles We got in right away with a reservation. This is my second time dining here. It's a very nice place and I enjoyed it on both occasions. My first trip, I ate outside on a very lovely Spring day. I ordered a firecracker salmon salad and a sparkling rosé that were incredibly delicious. Today it was a bit overcast and we sat inside along the picture window facing 4th Street. Service is always excellent here. We started with edamame hummus and southern spring rolls. Both are so good but the edamame hummus is my personal favorite. It was so light and citrusy. Nom nom nom. I chose the fried catfish with creamy grits, roasted red pepper cream sauce and arugula and it was so good! These grits are an example of grits that I can enjoy eating. They are cheesy and creamy with a hint of spice. Yum! The peppery arugula on the perfectly fried catfish in the red pepper sauce just sent me into food heaven. Also ordered was the avocado toast on sourdough that looked tasty, and a side of grits, the Caesar salad with salmon, and the house salad with a side of mac + cheese. Everyone loved their choices. This was an all around win for brunching.

My wife is vegetarian and it's always refreshing to patronize a restaurant like Mozelle's, where she has multiple choices right off the menu, without having to negotiate with the kitchen to alter a set dish. Great food, great price, great time.

A beautiful sweet spot that was a lovely .2 mile walk from my Airbnb. I sat outside and had the chopped kale salad and the mushroom pasta. Both were excellent!

We had a great time. Service was excellent and the food is consistent and delicious. I‘ll come back during my next visit to Winston Salen. The edamame humus was great, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful

Mozelle's is such a wonderful little dining spot. The food and service are always on point and Saturday was no exception. Always a treat!

The food and service was outstanding.

OpenTable Diner

Great food as always. Tomato pie and fried chicken are my go-to favorites here and always good. Check in and service seemed distracted today but we were on the late side of the lunch crowd (2-3pm) so perhaps they were thinking of getting set up for the dinner service. Overall, highly recommended for any occasion where comfortably upscale southern cuisine is desired.

OpenTable Diner

Consistently wonderful on all fronts. Always a favorite!

Mozelle's is one of Winston's best brunch spots. It's a cool old space with great views from the outside tables. We had to wait a bit as walk ups Sunday afternoon, but we were seated pretty quick. The food came out quickly and the service was great. The food was really, really tasty! I ordered the fried chicken with Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese needs to be mentioned in the best in town conversations! The texture and flavors were awesome. The chicken was a boneless piece fried s perfectly. They came together to make a great brunch!
