Hi Simply Sonya's, I have never been to your restaurant and I always check the reviews before going so I can give my own opinion on how the service is most importantly how the food taste. Some of the reviews that had a 1 star you did not respond to their issues but you did respond to the 4 and 5 star review. We know that some cooks you hire may not take it serious on how to prepare food to your liking. Remember we are to our best as customers want to support your business that you worked to hard to accomplish!!!

I just left Simply Sonya’s and they had the comedian Burpie there complimentary due to WSSU homecoming weekend. It was outstanding. The owner consistently checked on us. The host was awesome. Her daughter Sheridan exceeded my daughter’s and I expectations. They told me that they do open mic on Thursdays. I look forward to coming back with friends. Thanks for great service Sonya!

What a joke. Online it says the restaurant is open on Saturday afternoons but when we arrived it was closed to the public for a private event.

Visit #2. Back to the tranquil and peaceful ambiance-so relaxing. I Had a different dish this time-I tried the salmon croquette. Not bad; pretty good yet required a little dipping sauce --ketchup and cocktail for me. Mac n cheese remained on point as was last time. Added Yams to that order this time and they were good as well. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often.

We decided to come try out some soul food on this good Sunday! We were a bit confused at first because it is attached to the best Western, but to be honest, that did not mess with the review at all. The food and the service were A1, and we all were impressed and satisfied. The oxtails, Mac and cheese, cabbage, greens, the crispy chicken, and waffles were the bomb!!! We will be back for suuuurrrreee. They also had the bar open, and we tried "The Paul", nice and smooth, and went well with what we ordered. I definitely recommend coming down to try this place. Our waitress also let us know about the open mic nights and other live music that they offer here. Being new to the Winston-Salem area, this was definitely a win for the books. Thanks to all the Staff!!?☮️?

This was my first time trying out Simply Sonya's. I called for a take out order. I arrived late to pick up, and the owner had to remake my fish because she couldn't sell it to me. She was so polite and her food was AMAZING! Everything was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Sonya was extremely professional, kind, and generous! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. I'm so grateful for her integrity and going over and beyond, though I was late to pick up my order. Will definitely be visiting again soon and telling others to check her out! ❤️?
