I just left Simply Sonya’s and they had the comedian Burpie there complimentary due to WSSU homecoming weekend. It was outstanding. The owner consistently checked on us. The host was awesome. Her daughter Sheridan exceeded my daughter’s and I expectations. They told me that they do open mic on Thursdays. I look forward to coming back with friends. Thanks for great service Sonya!

Visit #2. Back to the tranquil and peaceful ambiance-so relaxing. I Had a different dish this time-I tried the salmon croquette. Not bad; pretty good yet required a little dipping sauce --ketchup and cocktail for me. Mac n cheese remained on point as was last time. Added Yams to that order this time and they were good as well. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often.

We decided to come try out some soul food on this good Sunday! We were a bit confused at first because it is attached to the best Western, but to be honest, that did not mess with the review at all. The food and the service were A1, and we all were impressed and satisfied. The oxtails, Mac and cheese, cabbage, greens, the crispy chicken, and waffles were the bomb!!!
