“This a wonderful restaurant! We had the special which was smoked sausage sandwich with onions and peppers and it was delicious. Their French fries are also great. Service was very good and the restaurant is warm and cozy. Definitely recommend!!“

“I just left Simply Sonya’s and they had the comedian Burpie there complimentary due to WSSU homecoming weekend. It was outstanding. The owner consistently checked on us. The host was awesome. Her daughter Sheridan exceeded my daughter’s and I expectations. They told me that they do open mic on Thursdays. I look forward to coming back with friends. Thanks for great service Sonya!“

“One of our go-tos in downtown - the food is always delicious! We especially love the outdoor patio when the weather is nice. Tonight we started with a pork arepa and chicken tamale. Both had great flavor and a generous portion. For our main dishes we stuck with our usual favorites of the steak sandwich and crispy beef bowl. We always leave full and satisfied. The only downside to eating here is that things generally move pretty slow and it can take a while for your server to make it back to your table. So make sure you aren't in a hurry when you come here.“
