“Excellent food, great service, nice cozy atmosphere, but strangely enough the chairs are borderline unbearable to sit in at the Winston location and honestly make it hard to want to go back despite all the things going right. Count yourself lucky if you get to sit in one of the booths!“

“So today I had the opportunity to stop in at Taste of the triad Southern cuisine in Winston Salem n.c. I must say it was a very comforting experience. The staff was very friendly and made me feel as though I was in Grandma's house. The food was excellent I had the meatloaf and might I say it was a very nice helping with my sides being that of Mac and cheese, potato salad, and cabbage and collard greens. Everything was spot on. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and the service they provided. Thank you. ILL BE BACK ?“

“I ordered the Honey Heat Chicken sandwich with fried okra. The chicken sandwich was wonderful...tender and juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Even though it was deep fried, it wasn't greasy tasting. The fried okra was on point as well.“

“One of the best dining experiences ever. We arrived a little ahead of our reservation to experience the bar and have an adult beverage. It was well stocked with a number of mocktails as well as cocktails. We were the only ones in the bar at the time and had a pleasant chat with the bar tender who has been there since the bar opened. Learned a lot about the history of the gorgeous house as well as the restaurant. The restaurant is fairly large but it is well broken up so no section feels too big. We sat on the porch for dinner and it was charming. A great view of the patios which they apparently offer for large parties.Now for the dining experience.“
“Very very nice server.Ordered some fries whiting with collard greens and potato salad. Also had grilled salmon with string beans and corn on the cob. Cornbread was also good and roll was typical.Everything came out hot and fresh. Nothing was too salty and the food was well seasoned.The restaurant was clean inside and the bathroom was okay.“
“I would come back here all the time just to interact with the lovely lady at the register. It's cool seeing the biscuit dough get worked too. I bet that's an awesome workout! We were passing through and this place was a good compromise between fast food and a sit down place - its Sunday too. I had to try the local cherry drink- via fountain. Very good. Bonus points for paper cups in some sizes. I also had to try the French vanilla iced latte- pretty good! My partner and I each had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. He immediately noticed the bacon wasn't crispy, and when he pulled it off, we saw it was quite under done. He also disliked the cheese. (I was hungry - don't judge me) so he took it to the manager, was offered another biscuit. He wanted a refund. We compromised with a baked good. I would love to go back and try the creme broulee iced coffee and cinnamon roll!! (Probably some eggs too)“

The strawberry cheesecake is scrumptious. The cake portion is very plentiful.Our waitress was very nice and appreciative of our business throughout.“
“All four of our entrees - shrimp & grits (one of the best I've had), tomato pie, hamburger, pork roast - were delicious and filling. The service was outstanding, and the hostess was a pleasure to deal with. Dairy products are from the renowned Homeland Creamery. Highly recommended.“
