when i was looking for a place to grab lunch today, this one had five reviews and all were 5 stars. we're here to visit wake anyway, so figured we'd give this a shot for lunch. best decision ever. this is in mccreary tower at the wake forest football stadium. really great view of the field, which was awesome. 100% recommend this as a lunch spot if you're touring wake i think they change the menu seasonally or something so i took a photo of the current menu (attached) in case you're interested we got there at like 1:25 (they closed at 2) and it was empty- makes sense because wake forest isn't in session and it's a weekday afternoon. not many people would be at the football stadium on a day like today. might be a different situation on game days and whatnot (my friend who goes here said she's had sorority formals here?) service was awesome. waitress was super nice! after we ordered she brought out house chips with a ranch dipping sauce. i fricking LOVE house chips so i was already absolutely stoked. they were great !!! my mom and i ate the whole basket. my mom & i ordered the burrata salad & the buffalo chicken sandwich to split. both were absolutely delicious. like, holy sh*t. chicken was cooked perfectly. burrata salad tasted super fresh. 20/10 would eat here again in a heartbeat surprised there are so few reviews... absolutely check this place out!

Had an excellent experience, great views, and exceptional food. Good people working there. Their menu has a lot of options, and often times that's bad, but everyone that I went with all got something very different and we all loved what we got. Really enjoyed the location too! I will be back soon, and Go Deacs!

First time dining here with colleagues. The restaurant is only open for a few hours for lunch and there was nobody there when we arrived. We were quickly seated and the waiter was fun, but the wait for the food was extremely long. The menu is limited so we chose salads, soups and sandwiches which took a really long time. The portions are big so you're not leaving hungry, but the food is average and it's not inexpensive. I don't anticipate that we'll return when there are so many places with much more variety at the same or even lower price.

I recently had lunch at The Grille at Deacon Tower with a coworker. I had seen seen the restaurant advertised before, but always figured it was probably pricy or that it would take a while. Boy was I wrong! We got there right at noon and the restaurant was surprisingly empty. We were promptly seated and had our order taken. Before I knew it, the food was delivered. I went with the Mediterranean Chicken Pita and it was delicious! All of the toppings on the pita tasted fresh and the chicken was grilled perfectly. One of the options for sides was even a slice watermelon! Best of all was that everything on the menu was very reasonably priced. I do not believe that there was anything over $10, and you get plenty of food. Of course being on the club level, you also get a nice view of the football field, which is something different and could be a real cool place to bring someone new to the area or that has never been to a Wake Forest game. I cannot recommended The Grille enough and think it is an excellent spot for a classy, yet cheap, weekday lunch.

I just had the Summer Chicken sandwich and it... Changed.My.Life!! It had two big pieces of juicy, marinated chicken along with melted mozzarella cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce, barbecue sauce, and... a beautifully grilled slice of WATERMELON. Yes, watermelon... on top of chicken! It was the juiciest, most delicious sandwich I have had in a long, long time.

I will be there first to say that I had no idea that the general public could go up to the deacon tower and have lunch, I always thought it was for the deacon club members of Wake forest university. But no! ANYONE is invited to the place. It is located on the 4th floor of the Wake Forest football stadium and is surrounded by windows that allow a great view of the fairgrounds on one side and an excellent view of the field and stadium on the other side. The chef has trained on some pretty high end places Including the Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY. He makes a great meal let me tell you! This night we started off with Texas Pete sweetbreads with a blue cheese foam. Phenomenal! next course was a take on the wedge salad with blood orange vinaigrette, toasted filberts, fig puree, melon slices, and the star of the salad a porcini goat cheese truffle! Awesome! The main course was a wild boar chop cooked perfectly and again wonderful. I can't really say anything negative about the place, and you should give them a try one day. You'll wonder why you haven't before.

An excellent upscale lunch service with a dining room that overlooks Wake Forest's BB&T stadium. Fancy, but traditional American fare. I recommend planning for an hour and a half.
