Really not what I expected. I was thinking it would be a sit down type bakery for some coffee and breakfast. Cool place to stop in for the history but I left empty handed and went to a different coffee shop

I had such a pleasant experience for my first time as an adult here. We were immediately greeted, told about the history of the house and its original functionality and how it was evolved over time. The woman who greeted us gave us direction of how to walk through the two floors and where the baked goods, kitchen, and gift shop were located without me having to ask any questions. Stepping into Winkler Bakery felt like visiting a piece of living history. The aroma of wood-fired Moravian sugar cake and paper-thin spice cookies is irresistible.
