The purpose of my dining out was to celebrate what would have been my 48th Wedding Anniversary and to honor my late husband, who passed away six months ago. I invited four of my dearest friends and we left an "empty chair" for me husband. Josh, our Server was outstanding, and went far and beyond, to make our evening lovely. The food was fantastic! We loved the Cream of Mushroom Soup, and everyone raved about their entrees'. I will definitely return !
Ordered a starter which wasn't served, they missed it, the surf and turf was medioker for $55, ordered medium cook, it was well done. Sent it out, came back the same... asked for a cake for my daughter as a surprise since it was my daughter's 18th birthday, the missed that too! Very poor experience.
The ambiance in the glassed annex was amazing. We all enjoyed our dishes. I particularly enjoyed my ribeye. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I also liked the potato side that came with it.
Bernardin's is the top restaurant in Winston-Salem for sure! The atmosphere is unusual and the enclosed/climate controlled glass dining area is so unusual and beautifully designed. The items on the menu are all unusual and are changed from time-to-time so that boredom or predictability does not ensue. The chef and staff are extraordinaire!!! You will feel like a most valued guest when you are there. We really look forward to this dining experience more than any other restaurant in Winston-Salem.
You all should give Josh a raise. He was very personable and an excellent waiter. He helped make our two year wedding anniversary that much more special. Thanks for the great food!

I would have given ambiance 5 stars except we were seated in the porch rather than the main house. Was comfortable enough but missed the ambiance of main dining rooms. Will request indoor seating next time. Food is always excellent and it was busy as expected on a Friday. Entrees came much too quickly having barely finished appetizers. Will request more time between courses next time.
Fantastic restaurant for a very special evening!

Great experience and fantastic meal. Four of us went for a birthday celebration. Birthday girl was very pleased and happy we went. Filet - medium rare, perfect. Sea Bass - outstanding. Ravioli was outstanding. We can't wait to go back.

The basement level bathrooms have always been tricky to navigate, but such is the charm of an historic home turned restaurant — so we've never let it bother us. However, this time we were seated outside and the smell of the attempted overpowering of the sewage with strong chemicals wafted out to the patio seating every time a waiter or patron walked in and out of the house. We still love Zevely (and have been going for special occasions for 20 years now), but will refuse to sit outside next time.
Had a really nice squash soup then halibut.

As always the food was excellent. Brittany was our sever and she was very friendly and attentive. Our table was in the glassed in area with the doors open and the weather was beautiful. A very special night at a wonderful restaurant.
Bernadine's at Zevely continues to be one of the best restaurants in the Triad area. The food was excellent as was the service.
Located in a house, this restaurant has excellent food. Each room has 4-6 tables. Nice ambience. Good wine colletion. Menu is chef driven and offers daily specials. Nice cozy and romantic restaurant.
