My daughters adore this spot, especially for ice cream! And kid friendly? Absolutely! Whilst tackling the grueling task of fence building, I sent my girls over to grab an ice cream cone- knowing that my kids would be safe and treated with respect while in the restaurant. Fair pricing, yummy eats, I wish they were open when I could give them a try!”

“Prairie Sky is truly a gem in the Minot community. The atmosphere of their cafe is wonderful, along with all the delicious breads, drinks, and treats available. Their Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough is delectable, and their scones are amazing, even when they’re a day old. This is one of the few places where I know they’re using real, high quality ingredients in the food I’m served. I would recommend Prairie Sky Breads to anyone in, or visiting Minot.”

“Amazing — it honestly felt like I was having a family dinner at my abuelas’ house. The food was so good I would’ve happily offered to do the dishes… and pay double 😆 Singing, smiles, and that warm, welcoming energy you only get with real home-style cooking.
This is hands-down the best Mexican food I’ve had in 10 years, and I’m from Los Angeles. The pozole was the best I’ve ever had — rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It truly feels like family here. The al pastor was incredible, the al pastor fries were insane, and the dirty horchata was delicious. The mango margarita was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The corn tortillas taste homemade, and I’d bet most of the food is made from scratch.
Overall: amazing experience, amazing flavors, amazing atmosphere. Not cheap, but absolutely worth it.”

“My family first went to The Starving Rooster last year for a dine-in going away party, and we’ve been back for dinner multiple times since. I always get the pizza (even though I change it based on what I'm wanting), and it’s always so good. I do enjoy the margherita pizza, though I'm not a fan of the garlic on it. The portions are generous, and the food consistently tastes fresh. The atmosphere is clean, relaxed, and comfortable, which makes it easy to enjoy a meal as a family. Service has been decent every visit, prices feel fair, and ordering is straightforward. They do have a bar, but since we usually bring our daughter, we haven’t explored that side yet. Overall, it’s a great local restaurant and one we’d recommend.”

The drinks are creative, fun, tasty, the food is hands down best brekky whether you build your own overnight oats, get a jalapeño cheddar breakfast bagel with fresh eggs and gooey melted cheese, or a chill smoothie. Their creative menu sees a rotation of seasonal flavors and blends complete w/full descriptions of the flavor profile and names. My fave of course is their friendly crew. There is something to be said of a workplace when there isnt employee turnover aside from maybe moving away. The baristas remember you, make you feel valued, seen. super nice humans♡ They have great recommendations.”

“We had our wedding reception here 8-16-25! The owner sherry and event coordinator heidi were super easy to work with and communicate with :) they decorated it exactly how we wanted . And all the bartenders gave good service and wonderful drinks 😁 Highly recommend this place/venue they made our special day extra special 100/10”
