Much to say about the quality of this place, I’ll say the quality and care put into the dishes is top tier, drink recipes thoughtfully executed, and attention to service not lacking. I’d go here as a reliable option for quality and elegance.

I was sad when Famous Dave's left this building, but El Agave exceeded my expectations as it's replacement. The atmosphere was bright & casual. The service was excellent & friendly. Another soft drink on the table before I was finished with the first! I put a lot of weight into a great Mexican food restaurant on its free hot sauce & rice, oddly enough. Both were awesome!

Now the food. My wife had the Chori Pollo, I had the Steak Agave...

Food was delicious!
The fresh tortillas were a definite highlight.
The Chili Verde wasn't as good as my dad's but it was pretty darn good.
Cheese dip was a little bland so mix a good amount of salsa into it.
Everything was fresh! I give it an "A" rating.
Atmosphere is no frills, family friendly.
Staff was friendly and attentive.

Vegetarian options: Next time I will try the Chile relleno...
