“Signed up for wait-list and said 10-20 minutes wait. Fine. Sat outside 10 minutes or so and got a text to come in. Stood inside for 16 minutes before asking hostess how much longer the wait would be. She said, "When a table is ready." Asked how long she thought it would be. She said, "Ummm as soon as one is ready." Debated staying, ultimately told her we were going to Longhorn. Her response was, "Ok. Bye." Ironically, we had enough time while standing there to read their LEAD acronym guide that was posted behind the desk. The first two, listen an empathize, must have slipped the hostess's mind as she didn't indicate that she cared about our wait or that we were leaving to eat at the competitor. The lady who was seating people made the comment that a bunch of the servers went on break at the same time. It seems that scheduling is another area that needs improvement at this establishment.“

“The best steak dinner we have had in a very long time. While traveling through Fargo, we googled local steak houses- and decided to give Cork ‘n cleaver a try. The aesthetic is cozy yet upbeat when walking in. We both commented that the prices on the menu were very reasonable. I ordered the filet medallion, and my friend ordered the club sirloin. Not only were our steaks cooked exactly to order, the quality was outstanding. Topped with a sensible amount of steak butter (seasoned with garlic and a kick), my filet was absolute perfection. We have plans to come back and try some pasta dishes the next time we are in Fargo. The service was equal in quality. Outstanding! This place is absolutely on our new go-to Fargo dinner spot. Hands down. A classic no bs steak house.“

“Our server was friendly and attentive. The fresh bread and butter delicious. The food hot and timed just right. Steaks were tender and cooked as ordered. Will definitely come again when we’re in town.“
